Amy Blyth is, 22 from Blackpool. She currently works for a recruitment agency and is a singer. 10 days before the MISS LANCASHIRE final Amy  was bed bound in an isolated room , then sadly just 5 days before winning  Amy had to hold her own little funeral for her nana, as she missed the funeral due to being too poorly in hospital.

Read Amy’s story in her own words  …
” Before the Miss Lancashire final happened  I was going to be able to do it, on a random thursday night in March, I suddenly came home from a run and was shaking, freezing but dripping with sweat, I had a pain that was unbearable and had never felt before – After spending 36 hours in A and E as there was no beds, I was told I had to be isolated as I caught a type of Ecoli and my blood pressure was scarily low, I was kept in for 10 days and had to miss the contest rehearsals, and didnt think I was going to be able to complete..
I felt better on the day and decided to try my best and not push myself as I was still recovering.
Amazingly I won ! I couldn’t believe it, as I still didnt feel 100%
I am going into the Miss England Finals, but whilst I am crowned Miss Lancashire 2024, I am going to do my best to use my title to my greatest advantage… to make a difference in my community.
I am going to do anything I can to raise money for this amazing charity, they help people between ages of 16-25, and give them the basic necessities of a bed, food, water and shelter, which I believe everyone should have, as a bare minimum.

Street Life

I have recently set up a charity fundraising page for Street Life in Blackpool, Lancashire.
The reason for setting up this page was to make a difference to at least one person.
Street life is an amazing charity helping people in emergency homeless situations or needing support and guidance.
I am proud to be living in Blackpool, but Blackpool is sadly reportingly the 2nd most deprived area and is 21.9% higher than most other areas and is rising rapidly. This makes me deeply uneasy and makes me want to make a difference to the community. Homelessness can be stemmed from family problems, drug and alcohol misuse and lack of education…
Alcohol played a big depressing part in my life and sadly nearly ruined my life multiple times, and got me in trouble consistently at a young age. I then made the decision to stop drinking as It sadly broke relationships, friendships, and caused family arguments, I have been sober for over 15 months and couldn’t be prouder of myself as, at 22 and not drinking is tough, but I want to raise awareness that drinking is the killer and killed over 3 million people world wide last year in 2023 from alcohol alone. I also want to make it more acceptable to go out and not feel the need to have a drink to feel a certain way.

I am going to do anything I can to raise money for this amazing charity, they help people between ages of 16-25, and give them the basic necessities of a bed, food, water and shelter, which I believe everyone should have, as a bare minimum.
