The first iconic location visited during the Miss England titleholders’ Humanitarian trip to India , a prize for winning from the BOPA organisation was the breathtaking Golden Temple in Amritsar, one of the most important spiritual landmarks in the world.
The reigning Miss England Grace Richardson & Charlotte Grant who represented England at Miss World in Hyderabad India in 2025  had the opportunity to experience the peaceful atmosphere of the sacred Sikh temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib, which welcomes visitors from all faiths each year.

However, the trip began with an important humanitarian visit before sightseeing.

Grace and Charlotte first visited the Eknoor Charity, where they helped present a cheque donated by Rajesh Sachdev, Chairman of BOPA (British Organisation of People of Asian Origin) in support of the charity’s work helping the Orphanage in need.

Grace sang for the children at the Eknoor charity during her visit and shared her ethical project hopes with the organsiers with the charity, to supply washable Sanitary pads for the youngsters in future

Following the charity visit, the titleholders travelled to the Golden Temple, where they spent time respectfully exploring the temple complex and learning about the Sikh values of equality, service and compassion.
Once local media discovered that Miss England and BOPA were visiting, journalists were eager to meet the pair and interview both Grace and Charlotte, keen to hear about their humanitarian work, their experiences in India, and the ongoing relationship between Miss England and BOPA.

The visit reflected the Miss World “Beauty with a Purpose” ethos, combining travel and cultural experiences with meaningful charitable work that supports communities.
Grace and Charlotte now become the fourth Miss England titleholders to visit both Eknoor Charity and the Golden Temple as part of the BOPA India tour.
In 2020, Dr Bhasha Mukherjee, the first British Indian winner of Miss England, made the visit during her humanitarian trip to India. Later, in 2023, Miss England Jessica Gagen, an aerospace engineer, also visited the charity and the Golden Temple as part of the continuing relationship between Miss England and BOPA.
For the special visit to the Golden Temple, both Grace and Charlotte wore elegant outfits by designer Oorvi Desai,  adding a beautiful touch to the memorable occasion.
The visit marked the first iconic landmark of their India tour with BOPA, and an unforgettable start to a journey that combines humanitarian work, cultural exchange and international friendship — perfectly reflecting the Miss World philosophy of Beauty with a Purpose.
