Miss England is thrilled to announce former winner Laura Coleman as the first judge confirmed for both the Miss England Semi-Final and National Final 2026.
Born in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, Laura knows exactly what it feels like to stand in front of the Miss England judging panel.
Laura was crowned Miss England 2008 and went on to proudly represent England at Miss World 2008, giving her first-hand experience of the journey this year’s contestants are hoping to make.
Beauty Competitions Run in the Family
Laura comes from a remarkable family of models and beauty pageant winners spanning several generations.
Her maternal grandmother, Irene, won an impressive 12 beauty titles during the 1940s, while Laura’s mother, Dena, followed in her footsteps and won 20 titles during the 1970s.
Laura continued the family tradition when she captured the Miss England crown in 2008 and represented her country on the international stage.
Now a mum of three and living in London, Laura has continued to work within the modelling and influencer industry and will bring her experience of both Miss England and Miss World to the judging panel.
Returning to Where It All Began
Laura’s return is particularly fitting as the Miss England Semi-Final takes place at Melton Theatre on Sunday 11th October 2026, bringing her back to her home town of Melton Mowbray.
She will then return to the judging panel for the Miss England National Final at the Athena in Leicester on Tuesday 17th November 2026.
The finalists will compete in a series of rounds and challenges designed to showcase far more than appearance, with contestants recognised for their talents, achievements, charitable work, confidence, personality and commitment throughout the competition.
The eventual winner will represent England at Miss World.
