The organiser of the Miss England contest is calling for Leicestershire women from all walks of life,  aged 16-27  to enter the local contest & is reviving the contest after a 4 year break !

Tia was crowned by her sister Sapphire in her own back garden during lockdown!

“Tia Carter” was just 19 years old when she was crowned the very first virtual beauty queen and appeared in national media following her win 2020.  Her own sister “Sapphire” who had previously won the title was able to crown her sister in her own back garden after the country went into lockdown.

“Almost four years ago we had planned a Miss Leicestershire event at the Y Theatre in March 2020 but it couldn’t go ahead as a live event . The contestants had all been fundraising & preparing for the event so we decided to continue the last contest virtually on the new Miss England App” said Angie Beasley Director of Miss England who organized her first Miss Leicestershire contest in 1990.  “We haven’t got back on track locally since so I want to bring the Leicester contest back”.

The Miss Leicestershire 2024 contest will be held at Kibworth School Hall on the 3rd February 2024 & will be supporting the Sue Young Cancer charity.

Tia has been invited to one of the judges alongside her sister Sapphire.

Now aged 22, Tia is the longest ever Miss Leicestershire title holder ever in the history of the pageant.  She won the National Miss England Talent award at the national final with her entertaining Caribbean dance act at the 2021 Miss England national final.
