The Grand Final of Miss England 2019 was hosted by The Gainford Group in Newcastle Upon Tyne on 1st August at the Gainford owned Newbridge Hotel.
Bhasha Mukherjee aged 23 who moved to England aged 9 from India , won the title.  Making history as the first British Indian to win the title she will now represent England at the next Miss World in London on December 14th .
Bhasha was one of two ladies representing the Asian Face of Miss England Catagory in the final  . She recently graduated at Nottingham University in a Bachelor degree in Medicine & Surgery and speaks 5 languages and has her own project called “The Generation Bridge Project” which connects the older generation with youngsters .
The 23 year old spent her first day as Miss England as a doctor in Lincolnshire having to catch the train at 4.30am following the event .
Bhasha was sponsored by celebrity Make up Artist Joggy Kang & wore a beautiful rose gold beaded gown by Designer Puneet Bhandal .Bhasha also wins a  holiday to the luxury destination of Mauritius with a plus one and a wardrobe of ballgowns from Ellie Wilde for Mon Cheri and a host of gifts .

1st runner up was Domenique Fragale a writer and presenter  from London who is an ambassador for the Princess Diana Award for Bullying . (pictured left of the throne)
          2nd Runner up was Pratistha Raut , aged 25 who is a Floorplan
         Architect who can speak 3 languages and was the top fundraiser
         having raised £10,000 for the Chronicle Sunshine fund . Over £36k
         was raised at the event by contestants and a raffle on the night for
         the cause  (pictured right next to Miss World)
         Overall the Miss England 2019 contestants raised over £85,000 for
         Various causes across the country such as Papyrus the Suicide
         Prevention charity , Hope Against Cancer and the CCLG Group .
         52 women took part in the contest in a series of various rounds to
         try and make it through to the top 20. The judges on the night then
         selected Bhasha as the winner .
