FIRST THREE INSPIRING FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR MISS LEICESTERSHIRE AS CONTEST HELD AFTER 3 YEAR BREAK !

Following a recent audition at Stu Williamsons Photography studio in Kibworth, the first three contenders for the next Miss Leicestershire have been announced on the Miss England website .

The three ladies are ;

 

 Tanya Sharma – (22) a Loughborough student  studying Business Analytics , who is also studying to be a Beekeeper!

 

Khushi Baraiya – (20)  a student from Leicester studying public administration at DMU who is already a Miss England semi finalist having qualified earlier this year by competing in a Virtual heat on the Miss England App

 

 

Grace Richardson (18) a student studying Musical theatre who has been performing since she was just aged 3 who was complimented by the famous Hugh Jackman for being a good singer!

Organiser’s are calling for more Leicestershire women to enter the contest as its been over 20 years since Leicestershire won the Miss England crown !  “Sally Kettle” now a International DJ and Model became the first Miss Leicestershire since 1990 to represent England on the Miss World stage .

Miss England Director Angie Beasley based in Leicester who recently appeared on ITVs Good Morning Britain and the Lorraine show after banning the swimwear round said “ I think its so important to highlight the contestants achievements and aspirations in life as the contest ethos is Beauty with a Purpose. ”

The current Miss England is Jessica Gagen who recently graduated with a masters in Aerospace Engineering .  Jessica will be representing England at the 71st Miss World in Mumbai India on December the 9th where she stands to win the coverted Beauty with a Purpose crown with her inspiring project promoting women in to STEM careers.  Jessica has been visiting schools and colleges across the country giving talks to youngsters.

The next Miss Leicestershire final is being held on the 3rd February 2024 at Kibworth Grammar School Hall .  The contestants will be raising funds for the Sue Young cancer Support charity in the lead up to the final as part of the contest.
