It was a very proud day for BOPA (British organisation of Pakistanis and Asians)  who organised a recent humanitarian trip to India for the current Miss England Jessica Gagen when they had the invitation to meet Prince Lakshayraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur .

Despite the Monarchy in India being abolished many years ago , the people from Great Britain still have fond memories of Indian Maharajas and opportunities to meet them are extremely valued.

Maharaj Kumar Sahib Lakshyaraj Singh Ji Mewar of Udaipur is a six time Guinness world record holder , philanthropist , educationalist & sports patron.  Since an early age he has voluntarily and consciously dedicated himself to public service, upholding the cause of righteousness and can often be seen on Instagram/lakshyarajsinghmewar

The reigning Miss England Jessica Gagen from Skelmersdale Lancashire and her colleague WASUP International Princess (Promoting World Against Single Use Plastic) India Fenwick from Newcastle dressed in beautiful white sparkling Sarees for the grand occasion.

The group from BOPA and the team from Miss England where invited inside the Royal residence for the special meeting . Following a delicious afternoon tea , the prince spoke to Miss England who was  surprised to find that she is an Aerospace Engineering student.

There were no official photographs taken with the prince inside the palace  but their official photographer from lake palace sent the group photo of the BOPA & Miss England  team following their  pleasant meeting  .

Director of Miss England Angie Beasley & Miss England Jessica Gagen are proud to be pictured in the patriotic red and white sareees either side of the prince .

After the official photographs were taken in the courtyard of the palace the team said their goodbyes to the prince and thanked him for the kind hospitality.

The team then met with an amazing group of very senior Female Commanders and Lt Commanders of Indian Navy who were also in the Palace to meet with the Prince. They were there to inspire women in Rajasthan to join Indian Navy.

All of the officers & commanders were excited to meet Miss England taking selfies with her whilst chatting about promoting women in male dominated  careers. This is so inspiring for Jessica Gagen , who’s own  Beauty with a Purpose project for the 71st Miss World is promoting women in STEM . (Science , Technology , Engineering and Maths)

The team were then invited for dinner by one of the members of Maharaja’s family who have converted their Palace into a hotel, a really majestic setting.

The team loved the experience and hospitality and were very grateful for the opportunity to experience such a memorable occasion!

Following more visits to Orphanages,  schools and a sightseeing trip to the Taj Mahal,  Jessica was then invited to visit Cinnamon Velifushi in the Maldives for a 3 night luxury stay to round off the trip !
