Triple Crown Triumph for Dagenham Beauty Queen as Amber Hood is announced as Miss Essex 2026 ready for the Miss England finals next month !

Dagenham’s Amber Hood is celebrating a remarkable triple victory after winning three awards at the Miss England Semi-Finals, securing her place at the prestigious national competition in Leicester this November.

Amber Hood, from Dagenham, Essex, enjoyed an unforgettable evening at Melton Theatre in Leicestershire on Sunday 11th October, where she was recognised for her charitable fundraising, creativity and outstanding support from the audience.

The beauty queen walked away with an impressive three trophies and three crowns, having been named the winner of the Explore the Nation round, Top Fundraiser and the newly introduced Crowd’s Queen award.

Her first achievement of the evening came when she was recognised for raising more than £1,100 for Beauty with a Purpose, the charitable initiative associated with the Miss World organisation.

Beauty with a Purpose , a charity owned by Miss World and the Ethos of the contest and is a central part of the Miss England competition, encouraging contestants to make a meaningful difference within their communities through charitable fundraising, volunteering and awareness campaigns.

Annually, Amber hosts 15+ events for her community which range from themed children’s discos to community shopping days. The discos in particular are a popular event, with one being held every week of term time to give parents a free day out for their children. At many of these events and on social media, Amber supports the DKMS UK and encourages those aged 16-55 to register to be a stem cell donor, potentially giving someone the second chance at life. Giving back to her community who support her greatly is a huge part of Ambers pageant journey. Whether it’s reading to the local preschoolers or installing bleed kits, every action focused on the communities best interest.

At the semi final , Amber also won one of the most anticipated rounds and was announced as the Explore the Nation award winner , which challenges contestants to produce a creative video showcasing their hometown, local attractions, communities and the places that make their area special.

Amber impressed the judges  with her video celebrating her hometown of Dagenham in Essex, earning her the coveted Explore the Nation title.

The round has become an increasingly popular feature of the Miss England competition, giving contestants an opportunity to demonstrate their personality  creativity, storytelling abilities and pride in the communities they represent.

In a further surprise, Amber was also announced as the inaugural winner of Crowd’s Queen, a brand-new award introduced to the Miss England competition for 2026.

The announcement was met with an ecstatic response from her supporters in the audience, who had travelled to cheer her on throughout the evening.

With three awards, three trophies and three crowns to her name, Amber’s extraordinary evening was completed when she was invited to represent Essex at the Miss England National Final.

Angie Beasley, Director of Miss England, said:

“Amber has had an absolutely incredible evening, and to walk away with three awards is a fantastic achievement.

“What makes her success particularly special is that each award recognises something different. Her fundraising demonstrates her compassion and commitment to helping others, her Explore the Nation video highlights her creativity and pride in her hometown, and winning Crowd’s Queen shows just how much support she has behind her.

“We introduced Crowd’s Queen for 2026, and it was wonderful to see the reaction from Amber’s supporters when her name was announced.

“Miss England has always been about so much more than physical beauty. We want contestants who are passionate about their communities, who are prepared to make a difference and who can inspire others.

“Amber has demonstrated all of those qualities, and we’re absolutely delighted to welcome her to the national final as our newly crowned Miss Essex.”

Amber Hood, newly crowned Miss Essex 2026, said:

“I’m honestly still trying to take it all in! To win one award would have been amazing, but to receive three trophies and three crowns in one evening is something I never could have imagined.

“Beauty with a Purpose is something that means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported my fundraising and helped me raise over £1,100 for such a worthwhile cause.

“I also absolutely loved creating my Explore the Nation video. Dagenham is my home, and I wanted to show people the community and the place that I’m so proud to come from. To have that recognised by the judges was such a special moment.

“Winning Crowd’s Queen was the icing on the cake! Hearing everyone cheering and seeing the support from the audience was overwhelming. I couldn’t have done any of this without my family, friends and everyone who has supported me throughout the competition.

“I will now be proudly representing Essex so I have the opportunity to represent my county at the Miss England Final is a dream come true. I’m so excited for November!”

Amber will now join approximately 40 female finalists from across England at the glittering Miss England Grand Final, taking place at The Athena in Leicester on Tuesday 17th November 2026.

The prestigious red-carpet event will also feature the national final of Mr England, bringing together contestants from both competitions for an evening of entertainment, glamour and celebration.

The winner of Miss England will earn the opportunity to represent her country on the international stage at the 74th Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Tanzania in September 2027.

For Amber, the journey from showcasing her hometown of Dagenham to competing for one of the country’s most prestigious pageant titles is already proving to be an unforgettable experience.
