Jennifer Carless (16) from Market Weighton was crowned the North Yorkshire Charity Queen in the Miss England contest during 2020 and has since become the Chief International Ambassador for WASUP (World Against Single Use Plastic)
During May, Jennifer was invited by WASUP’s founder Professor Abdul Rashid Gatrad OBE, Deputy Lieutenant to her Majesty the Queen, to join their team in Walsall on a litter pick with Ellie Simmonds OBE Paralympian gold medallist.
