A doctor, a model, a commended police officer, former beauty queens and an international Hollywood film director are among the judges preparing to make some big decisions at the Miss England Semi-Final and Mr England Final this Sunday, 11th October 2026, at Melton Theatre in Leicestershire!

Before the main judging commences guests attending and contestants will be welcomed the the theatre by non other than the High Sheriff of Leicestershire Mel v Thomas of C4 Celebrity Hunted and Hunted who created the decider round in the recent Miss & Mr England Sportsround with Rob from Hughes total fitness.

With contestants from across England preparing to take to the stage, an exciting panel of judges will have the difficult task of deciding who deserves a coveted place in the Miss England Grand Final on 17th November at Athena, Leicester, and who will be crowned Mr England 2026, sponsored by Envoy London.

And there’s another twist – a secret Miss England roving judge will also be watching the contestants throughout the day!

It’s a homecoming for former Miss England Laura Coleman, who grew up in Melton Mowbray!

Laura was crowned Miss England in 2008 at The Troxy in London and went on to represent England at Miss World. Now married and a proud mum of three beautiful children, Laura returns to the competition as a judge, bringing her own experience of winning the national title and competing in Miss World and her own success as a model.  Joining Laura on the judging panel is her mum, Dena Coleman, herself a former beauty queen!

The mother-and-daughter duo will be bringing their combined pageant experience to the judging panel, making this a particularly special occasion for the Coleman family in their hometown.

PC RANI GHUNDU – WEST MIDLANDS COMMENDED POLICE OFFICER

Commended police officer PC Rani Ghundu brings a different perspective to the judging panel for the 2nd year , with her experience in public service and the community. With Miss England placing increasing importance on charitable work, positive role models and making a difference, her experience will be particularly valuable when assessing the contestants.

 

 

ARIEL LAVI – INTERNATIONAL FILM DIRECTOR & PRODUCER – is judging DIGITALLY !

Adding a touch of Hollywood glamour to the judging panel is award-winning international film producer and screenwriter Ariel Lavi. With productions spanning several countries and an impressive collection of international film festival awards and selections, Ariel brings experience from the entertainment industry.

Ariel is also a co-founder of Hollywood Hills Magazine, one of Miss England’s media partners.

Ariel will be involved in the digital judging process, reviewing contestants’ profiles on the Miss England website to help select this year’s national finalists.

 

DR BHASHA MUKHERJEE – MISS ENGLAND 2019–2021

Doctor, model and former Miss England, Dr Bhasha Mukherjee made history when she became the first British Indian woman to represent England at Miss World.

Bhasha originally qualified for Miss England after winning the Asian Face Award at Miss Asiana, before going on to win the Miss England crown in Newcastle in 2019 – just one day before beginning her career as a junior doctor in Boston, Lincolnshire!

As Miss England’s longest-reigning titleholder, Bhasha knows exactly what it takes to wear the crown.

MORE THAN JUST A PRETTY FACE!

The judges won’t simply be looking for beauty.

Confidence, personality, ambition, talent and charitable commitment will all play an important part in their decisions.

Miss England has evolved into a competition that encourages contestants to use their platforms for a positive purpose, supporting charities, raising awareness of important issues and becoming ambassadors for their communities.

The judges will be looking for individuals who can represent these values both on and off the stage.

The Mr England contestants will also be hoping to impress, with the winner receiving an exciting opportunity to travel to Sri Lanka in November, courtesy of national sponsor Envoy London.

 

A SECRET MISS ENGLAND ROVING JUDGE!

But there’s another twist to Sunday’s competition!

A secret Miss England roving judge will also be keeping a watchful eye on the contestants!

While the official judging panel assesses contestants on stage, the mystery judge will be observing throughout the event, looking out for those who demonstrate confidence, personality, professionalism and the qualities of a true Miss England ambassador.

Who will catch the mystery judge’s attention? The contestants will have to wait and see!

PRE-EVENT QUALIFYING ROUNDS, FAST-TRACK PLACES & SPECIAL AWARDS!

It’s not just the main titles up for grabs!

A series of qualifying rounds held ahead of Sunday’s event will also play an important part in the competition, with some contestants earning fast-track places into the next stage of Miss England. Between 15-20 finalists will advance to the Miss England Grand final from the semi final , will your favourite make it ?

Winners will be highlighted and recognised for their individual achievements on the Miss England platform, with special awards and prizes including professional photoshoots, publicity opportunities and further opportunities offered in 2027.
