Miss England to wear Ellie Wilde at Miss World 2019

The reigning Miss England, Dr. Bhasha Mukherjee, is to wear a dress designed by award winning designer Evelyn Jia of Ellie Wilde, in the Miss World finals to be held in Excel, London in December.

Award winning prom and occasion wear range Ellie Wilde is represented and distributed by a family run business, DOM Bridals based in Cambridgeshire.

DOM Bridals were very excited to welcome Bhasha to their warehouse recently to cherry pick the gowns she would be wearing during her reign as Miss England.

Ellie Wilde’s designer “Evelyn Jia”  will be designing and manufacturing a show stopping dress designed in collaboration with Bhasha for the Miss World International Dress Designer Award and finals which are being staged at Excel London on 14th December 2019.

Bhasha started work as a NHS doctor at the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston Lincolnshire the day after winning the Miss England title in August.

“It is wonderful to be back working with the Miss England team. We can’t wait to see Bhasha wearing one of our amazing gowns on a world stage at such a prestigious event” said Katie Bevington, Director of DOM Bridals.

Over 130 countries will be taking part in the event which will be televised across the world to over 100 countries. The main focus of the contest is “Beauty with a Purpose “ and Bhasha’s project for the event is educating youngsters about Diabetes.

Since winning Miss England,  Bhasha has been busy working at the hospital & visiting schools and community centres across the country talking to youngsters and families  about the importance of healthy eating with her Diabetes UK Workshop who she is an ambassador for .
