Afternoon Tea at Cocco & Delilah with Miss Leicestershire

Cocco & Delilah is a quaint Luxury Afternoon tea room & cafe boutique & exclusive Champagne & cocktail bar based in Leicester City Centre.

The tea rooms welcomed Miss Leicestershire & her Mum for afternoon tea recently in their beautiful floral tea room.

Grace Richardson was recently crowned Miss Leicestershire & is now a Miss England 2024 national finalist. Part of the competition is creating a powerpoint presentation to promote her home city in a special dedicated round called “Explore the Nation” and Grace couldn’t wait to share her experience at this pretty find in the heart of Leicester City Centre.

” What a delightful afternoon tea my mum and I had at the lavishly decorated Cocco and Delilah, in Leicester. With such hectic schedules it is often difficult to find time to slow down and have a mother and daughter catch up. With half-term slipping through our fingers faster than water through a sieve, we were thrilled when our diaries revealed a mutual space.

Afternoon tea provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate our recent birthdays and spend some quality time together. Whilst the weather was cold and dreary outside, we were met with a warm, relaxed and inviting atmosphere in Cocco and Delilah’s. Pam, the owner showed us to our seat and offered drinks. Whilst waiting for our tea we took a moment to soak in the décor. Chintzy, delicate China and cutlery, blossom trees and flowers adorn this botanically themed, chic and theatrical, boutique tearoom was a perfect setting for a Musical Theatre student and plant loving mum.

Our afternoon tea arrived in a clear box, ladened with finger sandwiches and drawer upon drawer of delectable delights such as: warm savouries and our favourites – macarons, along with a selection of other French patisseries, scones with fresh, clotted cream and jam. The food was plentiful, enough to keep us going all day.

Cocco and Delilah’s has a relaxed feel, plus a wide range of cakes and savouries selection that will meet everyone’s taste. Family groups, friends, mum’s and daughters, couples, and those working whilst out – Cocco and Delilah’s comfortably catered for all.

Speaking to Pam, the owner, along with my Miss England Final sponsor Richard Clarke and Angie Beasley who joined us at Cocco and Delilah to receive thanks from @sueyoungcancersupport for funds raised, we discussed what a great setting it would be for a fundraising event.

St. George’s Day – Tuesday 23rd April, Afternoon Tea at Cocco and Delilah to raise funds for the Sue Young Cancer Support charity, a local charity covering Leicestershire and Rutland ‘who provide practical and emotional cancer support for all, from the time of diagnosis is made’ (Sue Young Cancer Support, 2024)

With ‘1 in 2’ people developing cancer during their lifetime, in the UK (NHS, 2024) most of us have, or know someone who has, been affected by cancer. Sue Young Cancer Support is there to help but in order to continue their good work they need our support.
