The Miss England semi final was held on Friday 31stJuly as a virtual event, with just the judges & Host meeting at the Video News Factory in Milton Keynes.
Reaching the Final 15 was Rysa Saujani (16) from Newbury who won two awards to make the Miss England Final. With the help of her supporters , Rysa won the Public vote & social media award in the contest !
Rysa Saujani is a Student, Actress & Model . As one of the youngest contestants in the Miss England National final , an interesting fact about Rysa is that she has started her career in the acting industry at just 9 years old !
Rysa said of her interesting fact , “I started my career in this industry at the age of 9 years old. I grew and matured a lot earlier than most being thrown into such a competitive field having endured a great deal of negatively and positive publicity, as well as rejection. Being on a film set everyday over a period of a month and working along side some very talented actors, has taught me a great deal of very valuable lessons. Firstly, to conduct myself in a professional manner, to make sure I am completely prepared and focused on the task I’m doing and do my best at all times. As well this, I have learnt how to manage and keep a good relationship with the whole cast and crew and apply discretion in the interactions during and after filming.”
Contestants from across England joined via zoom after being invited to submit 3 videos to enter which consist of an introduction, a catwalk and a talent video..
Rysa started her career in the acting industry at just aged 9 !
Over £10,000 was raised by contestants for the Beauty with a Purpose Charity which helps disadvantaged children throughout the world . After winning two awards in the contest , Rysa was invited to go to a fashion shoot with celebrity photographer Alan Strutt and had afternoon tea at the prestigious Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites & Residences .
