Miss Birmingham and Miss England 2025 Second Runner-Up, Evanjelin Elchmanar, recently enjoyed an inspiring day at the world-famous RAF Cosford Air Show, taking in spectacular flying displays, meeting members of the Royal Air Force and experiencing one of the UK’s premier aviation events.

Held annually at RAF Cosford in Shropshire, the air show has become one of the highlights of the British events calendar. First launched in 1978, it has been running for almost five decades and is held once a year, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from across the UK and overseas. Organised by the Royal Air Force, the event showcases an exciting mix of military aircraft, historic warbirds, modern aviation technology and thrilling aerobatic displays, while also helping to raise funds for RAF charities and local causes.

For Evanjelin, who proudly represented Birmingham in the Miss England competition and went on to finish as Second Runner-Up at the 2025 Grand Final, the invitation provided a unique opportunity to learn more about the work of the RAF while enjoying an action-packed day filled with aviation history and breathtaking displays.

“It was an incredible experience,” said Evanjelin. “Seeing the aircraft up close and watching the flying displays was amazing. The professionalism, dedication and teamwork shown by everyone involved was truly inspiring. It was a real honour to be invited and to meet so many people who are passionate about aviation and supporting the Royal Air Force.”

Throughout the day, Evanjelin explored the exhibition areas, met visitors and admired a wide range of aircraft spanning decades of RAF history, from iconic heritage aircraft to cutting-edge military technology.

The RAF Cosford Air Show continues to be one of the UK’s largest and most popular one-day air shows, combining thrilling entertainment with education, engineering and a celebration of the RAF’s proud heritage.

After finishing as Second Runner-Up at the Miss England 2025 Grand Final, Evanjelin is now setting her sights on the crown once again. She will return to the Miss England 2026 Semi-Final at Melton Theatre, Leicestershire, on Sunday 11th October, where she hopes to reclaim the Miss Birmingham title and ultimately go one step further by winning the Miss England crown, earning the opportunity to represent England at Miss World.

Everyone at Miss England wishes Evanjelin the very best of luck as she continues her exciting journey towards the Miss England 2027 Grand Final.
