In a lead up to the event the contestants were tested across a variety of rounds including Sports, Bare Face (make-up free) , Talent, Public Vote, and the Beauty with a Purpose fundraising challenge, showcasing not only their beauty but also their intelligence, creativity, and commitment to charitable causes.
On the night, the contestants took to the stage wearing 1950s-inspired ethical fashion, which they created themselves by using recycled materials and shopping in charity shops. After receiving the sustainability brief from Wedoethical.org, the contestants showcased their creativity and eco-consciousness through their upcycled designs. The winner of this award was Mary Ann Jennings, an emergency responder from Grimsby, who wowed the judges with her remarkable outfit made entirely from potato sacks!
Among the standout contestants was 24-year-old Birmingham model Evanjelin Elchamanar, who impressed judges by securing First Runner-Up in the recent Sports Round and also proudly earned the title of Miss Birmingham 2025 .
The list of contestants who progressed through to the final so far are at the end of this press release.
Every contestant in the Semi final contest received an Infinity bracelet from Diamond Dealer Direct, located in the famous Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. The top fundraiser for the Beauty with a Purpose charity challenge, Coral Jo Antwhistle, was presented with a beautiful diamond pendant from Diamond Dealer Direct in recognition of her incredible efforts. Collectively, the contestants raised an impressive £10,461.00 for the Miss World charity Beauty with a Purpose, with Coral Jo Antwhistle from Hexham in Northumberland personally raising £3,600 by hosting her own fundraising event.
The Miss England National Final will return to The Grand Station on 20th and 21st November 2025, where finalists will compete for the prestigious title of Miss England 2025. The winner will go on to represent England at the 73rd Miss World competition, scheduled to be held in Spring 2026.
