Laura Turner, a 20-year-old student midwife from Newcastle, is making waves in the healthcare
community with her dedication to maternal and neonatal care. Standing at 5’5”, Laura brings not
only her academic prowess but also a rich multicultural background to her studies.
Born in Spain, Laura is fluent in Spanish, which allows her to connect with diverse patient
communities. Her passion for midwifery is matched by her commitment to learning and
contributing to the healthcare field. In addition to her professional ambitions, Laura comes from a
family of high achievers; her brother recently earned the title of Mr England 2024.
“I believe that midwifery is about compassion, understanding, and bridging cultural gaps,” says
Laura. “Being able to communicate in Spanish and understand different cultural perspectives helps me provide the best care possible for my future patients.”
