Interesting Fact
I am on a mission to help over 1.2 billion young people overcome bullying and confidence barriers through my Blessed Youth initiatives - podcast, merch brand and coaching community. After experiencing racism and bullying in boarding school, my self-esteem and mental health hit rock bottom - but I turned that pain into purpose, now helping the youth go from bullied to BOLD. My story has led me to speak across London, from schools to global conferences, sharing a message of resilience and hope. As an actress, I’ve seen how film can stir hearts, yet I often leave the cinema with a deep emptiness. I’m determined to change that by creating raw, heartfelt films that tell true stories of redemption and inspire viewers to live with purpose and faith. Watch me turn Hollywood upside down.

Oxford Student Turns Banana fibre Into Eco-Friendly Sanitary Pad — Now Competing for Miss England Title

A 19-year-old Oxford student is breaking boundaries in both science and sustainability — by designing a revolutionary sanitary pad made from banana fibre.

Sidra Malik at Miss England will now represent Oxford in the final

Sidra Malik, who recently won the Wellness Innovation Award in the BIEA STEM competition, is now proudly representing her hometown as Miss Oxford in the two day Miss England 2025 National Final  on November 20th & 21st at the Grand Station Wolverhampton , where she plans to showcase her passion for sustainability in the competition’s popular Eco-Fashion Round.

Sidra’s award-winning design was inspired by the need to find environmentally friendly solutions to everyday products. The sanitary pad she developed is made from banana fibre — a natural, highly absorbent, and biodegradable material — providing a                                                                                                sustainable alternative to plastic-based pads that contribute to landfill and                                                                                                      microplastic pollution.

“I have a deep passion for sustainability,” said Sidra. “The climate crisis is more prominent now than ever before, and I believe businesses and individuals should work in harmony with the environment to reduce harm rather than escalate it. My design offers an eco-friendly solution that’s not only better for the planet but also creates opportunities for developing countries to benefit from banana fibre production.”

Unlike conventional pads that take hundreds of years to decompose, Sidra’s innovation can be washed and reused multiple times or safely disposed of without damaging the environment. Banana fibre is widely available in developing nations, offering new possibilities for ethical trade and sustainable income.

Sidra’s next creative challenge will be at the Miss England Final on 20th & 21st November at The Grand Station, Wolverhampton, where she will enter her design into the Eco-Fashion Round, transforming waste materials into something beautiful and purposeful.

“Carrying out this project was so rewarding,” Sidra said. “I got to explore how science and creativity can help solve global problems. Now I want to bring that same energy to the Miss England stage — proving that beauty and sustainability can go hand in hand.”

Miss England Director Angie Beasley added:

“Sidra represents exactly what Miss England stands for — intelligence, innovation, and a Beauty with a Purpose.  Her idea is inspiring, and it’s fantastic to see young women using the platform to promote sustainability and women’s health in such a creative way. I wish Sidra the best of luck with her invention and in the Miss England final”

Victoria Quinlan the reigning Miss Manchester is in the Miss England Final

My names Victoria Quinlan originally born in Stockport, Manchester, raised in West Yorkshire and now I live in the beautiful countryside of saddleworth. I trained to be dance and musical theatre performer at Doreen Bird College and graduated with 1st class honours later discovering my love for dogs. During my time training in London, I suffered a really bad hip injury which lead to a hip arthroscopy surgery due to a labral tear and impingement meaning I had to retake my 2nd year again. With a lot of training and discipline, I gained back my strength, fitness and flexibility and can proudly say I won the Miss England sportswoman round for 2025. I love going on hikes with my partner and have accomplished Snowdon, Crig Goch, helvellyn via striding edge and scafell pike all tricky hikes.

My whole experience with dancing and pageants has brought me a lot of modeling opportunities and I’ve recently just walked Paris fashion week and will be walking Cheshire fashion week.

My journey working with animals began during Covid lockdown, I was offered a job as a veterinary assistant. I’ve always had a love for animals but mainly found my passion for dogs at a young age. I gained so much knowledge and soon realised this was the career path that felt at home with me. I started as a Dog Groomer in 2021, I completed a 12 week intense course gaining a level 2 & 3 City and Guilds qualification. From this I went on to getting my first dog grooming job and developed my experience for 6 months until I finally made the move to go self employed and run a business of my own.

Dog Grooming brings me the most rewarding feeling, seeing the transformations and satisfied clients. It can be challenging at times due to different behaviours, matted dogs and dogs that have been through trauma but it’s all worth while when the end result creates a lot of waggy tails!

My work with The Camp Beagle started during my journey to coming Miss Manchester 2025. Spreading as much awareness as possible about the testing on beagles for drugs and toxicology. In my journey to becoming Miss England I hope I can make a difference to this and hope we see this act stopped within the UK and Worldwide.

I will be entering the talent round for miss england to bring out the retired dancer in me as this was my first ever passion being a little girl. The Echo-fashion to help promote the use of using vintage clothing to create great styles instead of buying new and quick fashion. The Bare face round as I believe that beauty comes from confidence within and we should celebrate this!

Meet Me – Jessica Bailey, Miss England Finalist from Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Hi, I’m Jessica Bailey, a proud Miss England finalist from the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, home to Charles Darwin. I’ve lived here my whole life and love making the most of the stunning countryside that surrounds my home. My family story is really special — my parents met on holiday in Greece, and my mother moved to Shrewsbury soon after to start a life together.

I work as a nursery practitioner and am currently completing my Level 3 apprenticeship, learning how to support young children, including those with special educational needs. I hope to make a real difference in the lives of the children I care for, helping them grow, learn, and thrive. Every fortnight, I take the children I look after to a local care home, where we play games, sing songs, and do craft activities with the residents — this is something very special to me.

Outside of work, I have a wide range of hobbies and achievements. I am a dancer,  and I did gymnastics for 5 years and competed in gymnastic competitions, and I’ve competed internationally in stone skimming alongside my father, Gary Bailey, a successful champion who recently won the 2025 Welsh Championships, 2025 Swiss Championships, 2024 Berlin Masters, and the British title twice (2016 and 2023). I was proud to win the women’s under-18 section at the World Stone Skimming Championships in 2017.

This year, I tried pageantry for the first time, and absolutely loving every second! entering Miss Shropshire, where I was second runner-up, and then advancing to the Miss England semi-finals, where I was honoured to be a judges’ choice. I’m also raising funds for breast cancer charities and creating fundraisers, inspired by my grandmother, a survivor, and other family members affected by the disease.

Through my Miss England journey, I hope to inspire others, give back to my community, and make a real difference — from planting seeds of hope in young children’s lives to supporting families affected by cancer.

Chichester: The Small City that Gave Rise to Big Dreams

It would be easy to say that I had to think long and hard about which places to include in
my ‘Explore the Nation’ video, but the truth is the second I read the guidelines for this
round a plan had already formulated in my mind. Chichester, my home city, is so
intertwined with who I am as a person, that I could map it all out of the back of my hand.
I could take you through every cut through, point out every piece of artwork and still
have more to tell you.

Most of my fondest memories were made in this city, it guided me through every
milestone until I moved away at 18, and although my daily life does not revolve around
walking through this city anymore, I know I carry it with me. Every goal I achieve was first
imagined by a younger version of myself – a girl walking those streets, dreaming of a life
bigger than this city, yet forever rooted in it. Creating this video wasn’t simply about
showcasing my home but also reconnecting with it.

But, with all these amazing memories how did I choose just a few places to show you?
That was the biggest challenge of the entire video – trying to distil my home city into just
a few locations felt almost impossible. Every street corner, every café, every quiet library
nook holds a story, layered with history, memories, and joy. Despite this, I knew there
were a few places that captured the quiet essence, and yet undeniable historical
grandeur of Chichester.

1. Chichester Festival Theatre : The heart of Chichester’s creativity, founded in 1962
this world-renowned theatre brings West End talent to our quaint city and
sparked my earliest love for dance, being one of the first studios I ever joined.
2. Chichester Cathedral : A prominent landmark of Chichester with its soaring spire
and centuries-old walls, this is the hub of community within the city in which
schools and societies come together in a place of reflection and beautiful
architecture.
3. Bishops Palace Gardens : A peaceful, picturesque garden tucked behind the
walls of the cathedral, it’s one of Chichester’s best kept secrets; a tapestry of
flowers, history and peace.
4. Chichester Cross : This historic crossroad of city, where people have gathered for
centuries and where every journey through Chichester seems to start.

5. Chichester Novium : Built above the ruins of an old Roman Bathhouse, it acts as
a captivating reminder of Chichester’s rich history and tells the story of many of
Chichester’s most influential stars.
6. Priory Park: Framed by Roman Walls containing the remains of a Norman Castle,
this park holds the echoes of history and memories of childhood.
7. The Triangle & Trundle : High over the city, this hill breathes history, with a
sweeping view of the South downs it reminds you of the vast, wild beauty that
Chichester quietly holds within its borders.

Including videos from my childhood in the Explore the Nation video was deeply
meaningful acting as a powerful reminder of how much my journey is rooted in
Chichester. It wasn’t just about showing Chichester’s landmarks it but about sharing
the story of me growing up within this city. These glimpses of my younger self wandering
familiar streets or playing in local parks capture not just moments in time, but the deep
connection I have with this city reminding both myself – and hopefully others – that the
places we call home shape us in countless small ways. They hold our memories,
dreams, and the foundation of who we become. Reflecting on those scenes, I realised
how intertwined my identity is with this city’s spirit and by sharing them, I hoped to invite
others to see Chichester through my eyes – not only as a city rich in history and beauty
but also as the foundation of my own story unfolding.

So what now? What will I do as Miss Sussex?
Being Miss Sussex is a huge honour – but it’s also a responsibility. I carry with me the
stories of every young person who has ever been told their dreams were “too big.” I carry
my own story – the little girl from Chichester who spent weekends reading library books
and dreamed of changing the world in her own way.
And I carry the future, too. Because this journey isn’t just about becoming Miss England.
It’s about using every step, every stage, and every spotlight to fight for a future where
success is truly accessible to all – regardless of postcode or paycheck.
So what will I do with Miss Sussex? I’ll use it. As a platform. As a voice. As proof that you
don’t have to fit a mould to make a difference.
Here’s to the next chapter – pink stethoscope in one hand, heels in the other, and a heart
full of purpose.
There is no finish line to this journey, because it has undeniably become the beginning
of a movement. The crown doesn’t just sit on my head; it stands for every young person
who dares to dream beyond their circumstances. And I’m just getting started.

LONDON TAKEOVER – FIVE LONDON WOMEN & AN OUT OF TOWN STUDENT HEAD TO THE MISS ENGLAND FINAL!

Evanjelin Elchmanar to Represent the Multicultural City of Birmingham in Miss England finals

Press Release For Immediate Release

The newly crowned Miss Birmingham 2025, Evanjelin Elchmanar, will proudly represent the vibrant and diverse city of Birmingham at the Miss England National Final this November being hosted over two days , 20th & 21st November  at the Grand Station Wolverhampton.

Evanjelin, a full-time model and charity founder, is the driving force behind Climate X Change, a non-profit organisation that has raised over £100,000 for sustainable, community-led environmental projects. Her long-term vision is to expand this work internationally, particularly in Sri Lanka, where she aims to create sustainable employment opportunities for single mothers.

“Representing Birmingham is such a proud moment for me, especially as I bring my story, passions, and purpose to the Miss England stage,” said Evanjelin. “My mission is to be a voice for diversity, sustainability, and self-love — because beauty isn’t just about what we see on the exterior; it’s about how we show up for ourselves, for others, and for the world around us.”

Currently based in Moseley, a leafy Birmingham suburb known for its creativity and cultural richness, Evanjelin enjoys sharing that J.R.R. Tolkien once lived there — with the area inspiring parts of his legendary Lord of the Rings novels.

Born in Paris as the city’s first Christmas baby of the new millennium, Evanjelin is of Sri Lankan heritage. Her family’s journey took her from Greece and France to the UK, where she grew up as the youngest of three siblings.

Her passion for the arts led her to Toronto, Canada, where she studied acting and TV presenting at Tafft College. During this time, she also developed a passion for cooking and health, inspired by a personal health challenge that reshaped her perspective on nutrition and lifestyle.

Beyond pageantry and modelling, Evanjelin is a singer, pianist, pageant coach, and soon-to-be entrepreneur — with plans to launch her own organic haircare line. She continues to develop her presenting career while remaining committed to charitable projects that make a lasting impact.

With her unique combination of talent, purpose, and multicultural heritage, Evanjelin will now carry Birmingham’s name onto the Miss England national stage, aiming to inspire others with her message of empowerment and sustainability.

The national final of Miss England takes place over two days on the 20th & 21st November .  To vote for Evanjelin in the competition download the Miss England app for FREE to place a FREE vote from 25th October 2025.

Embracity Authenticity, Purpose and Representation- meet Lisa Austin – Miss England’s Semi Final Bare Face winner

PRESS RELEASE –

Lisa Austin Wins Bare Face Top Model at Miss England Semi Final — Embracing Authenticity, Purpose and Representation
Lisa Austin, a 25-year-old high fashion model and influencer talent manager from London, has been crowned the Bare Face Top Model winner at the Miss England semi-final, fast-tracking her place in the Miss England  national final. Sponsored by Caesium Skin Clinic, Lisa’s powerful decision to go completely makeup-free — without filters, wigs, or extensions — resonated strongly with judges.
“Honestly, I didn’t think I was going to win. There were so many beautiful girls in the competition but I chose to be very intentional and strip it all back. As a woman of colour, it can be challenging to embrace natural beauty in a world shaped by Western standards, but I wanted to show young Black and Brown girls that they are beautiful just as they are,” Lisa shared.
While proud of the award, Lisa is determined to be remembered for more than her looks. After a successful international modelling career — landing her first campaign with Gucci at just 19 — she made the conscious decision to step away from full-time modelling to focus on projects with purpose.
Her Beauty With a Purpose project, Because I Can, aims to empower young people from working-class and disadvantaged backgrounds to break into the media industry. By equipping them with skills, confidence, and opportunities, Lisa wants to amplify unheard voices and challenge stereotypes, creating more inclusive and authentic representation in media.
Lisa’s story is one of resilience. Bullied at school for being “lanky” and “awkwardly thin,” traits later celebrated in the fashion industry, Lisa turned modelling into a tool not just for success but for survival. Following the sudden loss of her father and grandmother, modelling gave her focus, and her income helped support her mother and fund her education. Over time, Lisa’s curiosity led her to explore behind the camera, developing her skills in photography and videography — talents she showcased in the Miss England “Explore the Nation” round, which she produced and edited herself.
Reflecting on her Bare Face entry, Lisa said:
“Normally, I enjoy getting ready and being glammed up, but this round was about vulnerability and authenticity. I took a simple photo at home, no filters, no studio lights. It reminded me that true beauty comes from courage and purpose.”
Alongside her advocacy, Lisa is sporty and active, with a background in athletics, and continues to train through sprinting and high jump. She is also passionate about health and personal growth, recently enrolling in cooking classes to improve her nutrition and wellbeing.
With her dual British-Nigerian heritage and council estate upbringing, Lisa hopes to be the first British-Nigerian with dual nationality to represent England at Miss World — proving that no matter your background, it is possible to rise, to be seen, and to inspire change.
“I want to show up on the Miss England stage not just because I am ‘beautiful,’ but because I am a woman with purpose,” Lisa said.
Lisa is taking part in the Miss England Grand Final on the 20th & 21st November 2025 at the Grand Station Wolverhampton .
The public vote starts 24th October at 12noon and supporters can download the app for free from the google play or app store
