I work as an apparel designer. I mainly design women's and girl's wear but also do some men's and boy's wear too. I work for a brand agency called Defend London which is based in Manchester. The brands I work on are sold in the likes of House of Fraser, USC, ASOS, TK Maxx, MandM Direct, Footasylum and many other stores internationally. In order to get to this point in my career I studied BA Hons Fashion Design at Birmingham City University. I graduated with a 2:1. Whilst studying I also worked full time at a bar in order to save enough to do work placements in London over summer and mid-term breaks. I would run on 2 hours sleep at night in order to go to university and work but looking back I wouldn't have changed it for the world as I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for this. I love my job and the industry I work in and I hope that I have a progressive future working in fashion.
Interesting Fact
I am very artistic and I love to draw. This is definitely one of my main talents. I have always loved drawing from a young age. Another talent I have is playing the flute. I began playing the flute at the age of 7. I played in orchestras and recitals and performed for the Mayor. I stopped playing at the age of 16 as I went to Performing Arts College as I wanted to pursue acting. Two years ago, I found my flute and decided to start playing again.

I am a photographer with my own portraiture studio called Stretton Studios! Based in Cheshire, I specialise in family and pet portraiture as well as fashion photography. I also have a degree in graphic design from Leeds University and am a full-time Mummy to my 2 rescue cats ;-)
Interesting Fact
Photography, of course! I have always been creative - in high school I was one of two students selected to represent the school in Paris for my artistic ability. Hence why my photography business has been able to flourish! It's not just about talent, but passion too. My second talent has to be Zumba - 2 years ago I had a total hip replacement after I was no longer able to walk due to my condition. And now, against the odds, I'm bouncing around on the dancefloor!!

I currently work in a primary school as a level 3 teaching assistant in the nursery, helping little ones with phonics, maths, writing etc it's a very loving and rewarding job. I am also the manager at the same primary school for the breakfast and afterschool club. I manage staff, children and my own classroom etc.

I'm very active and sporty. I used to play for a girls football team. I have completed my Duke of Edinburgh awards. I was in the cubs and scouts won many awards and then went on to becoming a young leader myself for Firswood scout group local to my home. I'm very artist and love creating, I do modelling now and again so if this is classed as a talent then great ha!

As I’ve expressed in my work category, I do occasional modelling and tv work. Although, I myself would not class either of these as a talent, I enjoy the experiences they bring. I believe that everyone is talented in their own special way, a talent does not necessarily need to be a physical activity that someone is good at. It could be an amazing personality trait such as the ability to connect and give a helping hand to all types of people in society, which I believe I have the ability to do.

I have volunteered in Barbados charity shop for 7 months in 2017. It was lovely volunteering for a charity that I know is towards a good cause. Barbados helps the protects vulnerable children in the U.K. Then I worked in River Island Manchester and shortly after transferred to River Island Birmingham. Working in retail was fun because I had a lot of contact with the public. Working in customer service really developed my communication skills even further.

One talent of mine is singing. I sing in the choir at church as a soprano. Another talent is writing. I love writing short stories, poems. I used to upload to my wattpad account every Wednesday and I have around 30+ readers. I also write songs, paint and draw. I am also into photography.

From the Age of 6 I was put into acting classes and ever since then I have not stopped I have been nominated for several acting awards in Manchester such as Best youth performer by the GMDF even though I didn’t win it was a pleasure to be nominated. I have a strong passion for performing and I have performed at places such as the Royal Northern College of Music and the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse where I am playing princess Jasmine in their Christmas production of Aladdin 2019. I also have a great passion for trampolining as I have followed that on from high school and my most recent job was working at a trampoline park!
