Occupation
I work as a Customer Service Advisor for a domestic violence service called DV Survivors. I have worked here since February 2025 as a part of a small team and I have quickly worked my way up through the company to where I am now often left to run the operation. I am extremely passionate about my work and the difference that it makes in people's lives. No two days are the same and I am often dealing with many sensitive issues that I am also passionate about helping people work through, such as mental health issues and housing support. I go above and beyond in my work and I am always happy to be a listening ear and a warm, friendly face for victims. Whilst my job can be challenging, I take great satisfaction in my work and I believe that it has made me a better person. I do also run a small side business where I am a Spanish tutor to children in my area. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, and I find it very rewarding to contribute to their academic progress. I believe that both of my occupations have shaped me into the person that I am today and given me greater empathy and understanding for others, as well as a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Interesting Fact
One of the causes closest to my heart is suicide prevention. I've fundraised for Suicide&Co and Mind, using my own experience of bereavement to help create change and support mental health initiatives. I am also the youngest member ever to have served on the governing board of my church parish, where I help shape projects that support our community through a young and fresh perspective. I also volunteer my time each week to personally drive the older members of my parish into church on a sunday morning. The funny part is, I do this in my little sports car, so watching them climb in and out always brings us all a laugh!
