Miss England Semi Finalist dedicates her life to Animals !
Amy Joyce is competing in the Miss England semi final and tells us why she entered !
“Miss England drew me in with this round, because it is so authentically me. Often it feels like pageants, social media and even life is built on presenting an image, a curated lifestyle. One that can be appreciated by the viewers, but that remains unreachable. Just enough to leave you questioning why you can’t quite curate that image yourself. However, this is not the case with Miss England it celebrates authenticity- not perfection but truth. And it is not even defying the social media norms that attract me to this round, but instead the fact it is real. The real Amy that you meet in the street is not curated, and however much I wish she was adorned in pageant gowns always, this just isn’t the case. The real Amy is found working at a vet clinic, in her blue scrubs covered in pet hair, rushing around and yet always smiling keen to help the animals.”
