Stepping into the spotlight of the Beauty with Purpose Pageant wasn’t just about showcasing outer beauty; it was a courageous leap out of my comfort zone—a journey of self-discovery and empowerment that transformed me in ways I never imagined possible. My name is Gagan Kaur Miss Asiana 2023 title holder and Miss England Finalist 2024, I am thrilled to share my story of overcoming fears and embracing new challenges with the world.
Born in India, raised in Portugal I finally moved to England when I was 10 years old. Having completed all my studies in England and graduating in BA (Hons) in Accounting with Finance.
I am currently working as an Accountant in Southampton. I would like to own my own business one day to empower the lives of many by teaching finance and implementing presentations about the importance of finance to schools around the country especially in more impoverished areas. This is something that I personally would love to make an impact with and see a real change.
When we moved from Portugal to England, I really struggled to express myself not only was I finding it difficult to fit in with my fellow peers and the culture I was bullied in school for my English not being at the same level of other students. At times I felt like my shyness held me back from fully embracing new experiences and opportunities, leaving me feeling trapped within the confines of my own insecurities. Eventually I decided to go on a self-discovery journey and tried everything I could to get out of comfort zone and become confident in myself.
Deep within me, there was a flicker of hope—a burning desire to break free from the chains of my self-doubt and discover the strength and confidence that lay dormant within me. Little did I know that the opportunity to embark on such a transformative journey would soon present itself in the form of the Beauty with Purpose Pageant.
The moment I learned about the pageant, I was immediately drawn to its ethos of beauty with a purpose. It wasn’t just about looking good on the outside; it was about using one’s platform to make a positive impact on society—a notion that resonated deeply with me.
My beauty with purpose:
It fills my heart with immense joy and purpose to share my vision of empowering young girls to achieve their fullest potential and become the best versions of themselves for the world around them. I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young girls everywhere.
Through my own journey of self-discovery and growth, I’ve come to realize the transformative power of believing in oneself and embracing one’s unique gifts and talents. I firmly believe that every young girl possesses boundless potential waiting to be unleashed, and it is our collective responsibility to nurture and support them on their journey towards greatness.
As I continue to embrace my newfound confidence and purpose, I hope that my story will inspire others to break free from their own insecurities and pursue their dreams with unwavering courage and determination. Together, let’s empower young girls to dream big, stand tall, and shine brightly as they become the best, they can be for themselves and the world around them.
