During her inspiring humanitarian journey across India with BOPA (British Organisation for People of Asian Origin), reigning Miss England Grace Richardson fulfilled a long-held personal ambition — visiting the renowned Elefun Elephant Sanctuary in Jaipur.
She was joined on this special visit by fellow beauty queens Charlotte Grant (Miss World England) and Sharandeep Sahota (Miss Coventry), alongside a member of the BOPA team, making the experience even more memorable as they shared the moment together.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Rajasthan, the sanctuary is celebrated for its ethical approach to elephant care, focusing on conservation, welfare, and education.
For Grace, whose Beauty with a Purpose project “Every Drop Counts” champions sustainability and environmental awareness, the visit was both deeply meaningful and perfectly aligned with her mission.
From the moment they arrived, it was clear this experience would be unforgettable. The group spent time up close with the elephants, learning about their individual stories, their rehabilitation, and the sanctuary’s commitment to protecting these majestic animals. The visit offered a rare opportunity to engage with wildlife in a responsible and compassionate setting — something that resonated strongly with all involved.
The sanctuary team warmly welcomed Miss England and shared their appreciation for the work being carried out by both BOPA and the Miss England organisation.
Mr Aftab, Founder of Elefun Elephant Sanctuary, said:
“We were very proud to have Miss England visit us here at Elefun, along with the team from BOPA. We strongly believe in the ethos charity work . We appreciate their humanitarian work within India and their support for nature, especially the elephants.
We had a wonderful time and made some unforgettable memories with the elephants. We look forward to welcoming BOPA back with us next year and to continuing a working relationship.”
The visit highlights the shared values between Miss England, BOPA, and Elefun — a commitment to compassion, sustainability, and global responsibility. It also reinforces the importance of ethical tourism and the protection of wildlife, key messages that Grace continues to promote throughout her reign.
As her journey across India continues, moments like these not only create lasting memories but also strengthen the global impact of the Miss England platform — proving that beauty truly can be a force for good.
