Miss England Best Student Design Award 2009
Student Stitches up Miss England hopeful
Fashion student Dorota Damian from Liverpool John Moores University won The Miss England Best Student Design Award 2009.
No mean feat when you consider that over 7 prestigious fashion colleges were involved.
Each student was paired with one of the 54 Miss England 2009 finalists with the aim of designing an Oscars-style glamorous dress to be worn at the fashion show at the Grand Final in London. Students and contestants have been working together for the past few weeks, and today, in front of Natasha Cowan, Fashion Editor of The Daily Telegraph the winner was announced.
Dorota wins £100 and a Spa Day at Champneys but more importantly she gets the opportunity to design a dress for the new Miss England 2009 to wear to the Miss World contest in South Africa later in the year.
