Miss World's beauties with a purpose

On Tuesday 9th October, the current Miss World 2012 Wenxia Yu was in attendance with Miss England Charlotte Holmes and Miss England 2012 top fundraiser Kitty Williams at the Brent Knoll special needs school in Lewisham. The girls were there to present the children with a coach from the funds raised by the Miss England 2012 contestants and finalists.
The funds for the specially adapted coach, which were collectively raised by The Miss England 2012 finalists in the Beauty with a Purpose round of the competition the charity at the heart of Miss World.
The coach will enable the teachers to take the children on school trips, outdoor education activities as well as regular visits to the local swimming pool and other sporting events.

Headteacher of Brent Knoll, Jon Sharpe said, "We are so grateful to all the Miss England finalists for raising so much money for the children.
The funds raised will really help make a difference to the lives of the children. We will be able to take them on school trips, outdoor education visits and do more external activities which are invaluable to their development and enjoyment of learning"
Director of Miss England, Angie Beasley said, "Raising money for charity is the real drive behind the Miss England, and Miss World competitions. All the Miss England 2012 finalists worked really hard to raise as much money as they could for Brent Knoll school, particularly Kitty, who independently raised more than £8,000 in her home city of Brighton"
Kitty Williams was presented her certificate of achievement by the current Miss World, Wenxia Yu from China.
