Charlotte Holmes is crowned Miss England 2012

Charlotte Holmes, Miss Devon was crowned Miss England 2012 at the The Athena, Leicester on Tuesday 26th. Charlotte who lives in London said on winning Miss England, "I am so proud and privileged to win the crown and my ambition during my reign is to show young people that they can achieve if they put their mind and soul into their ambition".

Miss Devon Charlotte Holmes is the winner of Miss England 2012!

It was an emotional occasion for Charlotte as she will be jetting off the Mauritius on Thursday for 9 days as a part of her prize, but the trip will hold a special meaning as her Grandmother was from Mauritius and this will be Charlotte's first visit to the country.

Charlotte hit the news in 2010 when she came fourth in Britain's Top Model. This was her third attempt for the crown of Miss England.

Angie Beasley, Managing Director of Miss England said, "Charlotte is going to be a fantastic Miss England, she is a very beautiful girl with a vibrant personality and a passion for life and will be an amazing ambassador for England.

Charlotte will be representing England at the Miss World finals in Inner Mongolia this year.

The two runners up where: in second place Miss North Yorkshire, Anastasia Smith and in third place Miss Sunderland, Tamzin Cummings.
