Miss England 2012 - Awards

1. Mauritius Publicity Queen
The winner of the Mauritius Publicity Queen Award will win a flight and stay for 1 at the Long Beach Mauritius! Judged by the Miss England office. This award will be given to the contestant who gains the most publicity for Mauritius in the lead up to the national finals.
The award went to Miss Northampton - Nadina Knight!

2. Beauty with a Purpose
In the lead up to the final, contestants will be invited to raise as much money as possible for the Miss World charity "Beauty with a Purpose" which works tirelessly on projects helping disadvantaged children around the world.
The contestant raising the most funds was Miss Brighton Kitty Williams. She was crowned "BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE" as she raised over £4000! Kitty will be fast tracked through to the final 15

3. Great Lengths Stunning Style Queen
Great Lengths are the hair sponsors for Miss England 2012! Great Lengths hair chose one winner to be fast tracked through to the final 15. Great Lengths held a hair show during the finals.
The winner of this award went to Miss North Yorkshire Anastasia Smith!

4. Miss Eco
As part of the competition, all national finalists were required to wear an outfit made from recycled materials, or purchased from a charity shop, or wear something that has been handed down from their families or friends.
The judges selected just ONE WINNER - who in their opinion wore the most ethical and inspirational outfit!
The winner of this round was Miss Sunderland People's Choice Tamzin Cummings as she was chosen on Monday 25th June at the Eco fashion show. Tamzin eventually came 3rd in Miss England 2012

5. Top Model sponsored by Front

Front Models are sponsors of this new round which will take place on Saturday 23rd June in Birmingham. All 60 finalists will be invited to demonstrate their catwalk & modelling skills for Front Models. The judges will be looking for confidence and catwalk techniques as well as good looks.
Miss Devon Charlotte Holmes was chosen as the winner of this round and was fast tracked through to the final 15. Charlotte won 4 beautiful outfits from Vero Moda. She won the event at Malmaison Birmingham, the first hotel the Miss England national finalists stayed during the four day event.

6. Miss England Got Talent

The main photographic partners for Miss England, The Fresh Academy elected one winner, who in their opinion is the most photogenic in the contest. Finalists are invited to the Fresh Academy to a free photoshoot before the final to take part in this.
Miss North Yorkshire Anastasia Smith was chosen as the winner of the Fresh Modelesque Award. Anastasia eventually came 2nd overall in Miss England 2012!
8. Sportswoman
In association with Regiment Fitness, A boot camp was held at Aston Villa FC where all contestants will be invited to take part in the Sports round.
All finalists were invited to participate in the sportswoman award, which will be held as an army style Boot camp with Regiment Fitness. This took place on Sunday 24th June at Aston Villa. Contestants were put through their paces and the fittest girl who was the last girl standing won this award.
After a gruelling boot camp, Miss Sussex Alyse Louisa Spratt emerged as the winner and was fast tracked through to the top 15

9. Beauty and the Beach Award
Top celebrity photographer Alan Strutt will select ten Miss England finalists from the website from your online portfolio in the finalists section of the Miss England website - who in his opinion have the best beach body.
The winner of this round was awarded to Miss London Amy Willerton and she was fast tracked through to the top 15 and will a trip to Thailand!
