Outside of this competition I'm a student. I study fashion and textiles at london metropolitan university, it is my absolute passion, I completely love what I do. I design and create in my spare time, I strive to be inspired everyday and I would love the opportunity to inspire others in taking part in this competition. |
| Ambitions |
My goal in life, professionally, would ultimately be to be a part of the fashion industry. Personally my goal is to become a role model that young ladies can have confidence in, I would like to grow as a person, expand my knowledge and see much more of the world. |
| Why do you want to enter |
This competition recognises and embraces the diversity of beauty and the qualities that make us special. More importantly the message of having inner beauty as well as outer beauty and using this for more than pictures, rather something meaningful, giving purpose to your life.
Friends and family convinced me in the past to venture into modelling, I've since sent my portfolio to various websites and presented myself at many castings, the regular responses would be that I was not lean or tall enough. I have been knocked back many times but that does not mean that I would give up easily. The message I would like to share is that we should accept ourselves for who we are and remember that we are all individuals, there is no one else like you. Beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes, heights, races and qualities that give us this individuality. Entering this competition and achieving my place in the semi finals has been the biggest accomplishment of my life so far. It has been a step out of my comfort zone and a great challenge, I want to be an example to ladies young and old everywhere that you can conquer anything, nothing is impossible. |
