I have gained 12 GCSE\'s, including History, Psychology, Catering, English Literature and French. I am now studying at A-level, Psychology, Religious Studies and Media Studies. I have also gained an AS level in a project on Law, I have a real interest in Law and hope to carry it on at a higher level.
I am a \'fish\' in the water and love swimming, I have achieved lots of different awards for swimming and diving. This includes swimming 1000 metres, which I am very proud of.
I have enjoyed volunteering for the charity, Action for Children, which supports disabled children doing holiday activities. This is close to my heart, as I have a disabled sister. I have been recognised for my efforts and recently did Epilepsy training and First Aid training.
When I was younger, I took part in various verse speaking competitions and gained high marks for my confidence and enthusiasm. I also performed in local plays which boosted my confidence and self-esteem. In 2009, I took part in Relay for Life, this raises money for people who have cancer and who have survived cancer.
I have helped my local young farmers club, by winning county class events, like cookery and art. However, my greatest achievement so far is winning Miss Cornwall Popularity and Miss Cornwall Charity. I pride myself in how much money I raised for such a worthy cause. I raised over £1150 for Beauty with a Purpose and I enjoyed doing so, this meant organising events which I put my heart and soul into, and I hope to carry on with this. Events I organised included a Pub Quiz, Table Top sale and Coffee Morning, Cake Sale and a \'proper\' Cornish Tractor Road Run! |
