Female Nottingham footballer scores top in Miss England!
Amy Laban, 21 is a female footballer from Nottingham & has been chosen by the judges as the latest winner in a Miss England 2012 photo heat held on the Miss England website.
Amy's latest win was in the Miss England Fresh photo heat 3 where she beat 20 women and will now go forward to the Miss England semi finals held at Champneys Springs in Leicestershire on April 2nd 2012. To win the heat, Amy took part in a photo shoot at the Fresh Academy in Watford and then took park in a month long public vote to gain support for this heat.
The blue eyed blonde beauty said " Im delighted to win! I have played women's football for my City for more than 10 years. I have had trials for England and have also travelled internationally to play for other football clubs/teams. I thought - why not enter Miss England as well!"
The winner of the public vote was Megan McNamara who is automatically placed in the Online popularity round, an exclusive heat for public vote winners for another chance to advance further in the Miss England competition.

HOW THE PUBLIC VOTE FOR THIS HEAT WORKS
The public vote for this heat will start on FRIDAY 9TH DECEMBER at 5.00PM and FRIDAY 6TH JANUARY at 12.00noon
The public vote will shortlist 3 girls with the highest number of votes into the final judging round.
Also, from all of the girls pictured in photo heat three, 3 girls will be chosen as wildcards. They will be selected by the Fresh Academy who in their opinion will be the most photogenic girls in the competition and will be fast tracked through to the top 6.
To vote for your chosen contestant by text
You must text MISS then THEIR UNIQUE KEYWORD as shown above their photograph to 63333
- Please remember to put the space between MISS and the person you are supporting -
For example for Amy, you text "MISS 01AMY" to 63333. Text votes cost 50p plus standard network rate
To vote for your chosen contestant by phone
You must dial 0901 307 0048 and then enter the unique personal two digit code when prompted (shown below the contestant's photo).
Problems with Voting?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Winning the public vote will not guarantee winning the overall competition
- Votes can only be made within the UK
- Each person can only make a maximum of 10 votes on a daily basis
- All voters must be over 18 AND have the bill payer's permission
- Votes cast outside of the allotted period will not be counted but you may still be charged
- In the event of a tie in the public vote, the judges decision will be final
By law, you must let anyone you want to vote for you be aware of the terms and conditions to the public vote.
Judging Process
A public vote will be held from 9th December to 6th January 2012 and will select the 3 contestants with the highest number of votes after the voting period.
The Fresh Academy will also select 3 wildcards, who in their opinion are the most photogenic girls.
Once the six finalists have been selected by the public vote and the Fresh Academy, the 6 girls profiles and photographs will also be placed before our professional judging panel.
The judges will then pick just one winner who will go forward to the Miss England semi finals, held in 2012
