Miss Grimsby & District 2008 is Sian Gissing
Sian Gissing age 22 has just been voted Miss Grimsby and District . Sian , who was born in Grimsby and went to Tollbar secondry school now works for an international company working all over the UK as an acounts manager. " I really want to be a role model for young girls as I have an 8 year old sister and im very aware there is so much pressure on young girls these days to look perfect all the time. I have bad hair and fat days just like everyone and im certainly not a size zero! I love Grimsby and Cleethorpes and Louth where my mum lives now and Im so delighted to win the title!" says Sian who helps businesses become greener by encouraging them to recycle toners!. Sian now wins a two day stay in London for the national final of Miss England on the 17th & 18th July and a portfolio and photoshoot from the Fresh Academy along with various gifts which will be presented at the national final by the Miss England show sponsors . First runner up is Holly Pederson, second runner up is Casey Hubbard and Leoni Lane and Jade Clay in joing 4th place. The organisers would like to thank everyone for taking part in the competition and wishes Sian the very best of luck in the Miss England final.

Each of the finalists will be invited to the Fresh Academy for a FREE PHOTOSHOOT.
The winner will receive a 5 page mini portfolio.
The winner of Miss Grimsby & District will be selected as follows ;
The final 12 girls pictured below will now have to campaign locally where they live as to why they should be Miss Grimsby & District and gain as many votes for themselves as possible. The public vote will select the top 5 girls . The judges who include the Miss England office and a professional photographer from Fresh Academy will then place the girls 1st -5th place. The marks from the public vote will be added to the judges score which will then produce a winner.
Please note ; Winning the public vote will not guarantee winning the overall competition as all the judges marks are added together in the final round . However to be in with a chance on winning finalists must reach the top 5 in the public vote!
