Regional Heats 2008
The search for Miss England 2008 will be bigger than ever. Over 100 regional heats will be held throughout the country between September 2007- June 2008. There will be two types of heats to enter . Contestants can enter a semi final heat or a grand final heat. The details of the type of heat is shown on each area listed.
Semi finals will be held at CHAMPNEYS on the 16th & 17th June 2008. All winners of semi final heats will be invited to this. A total of 10 winners will be selected to go forward to the grand final from the semi finals.
The grand final to be held in July 2008.

The winner will qualify for the MISS WORLD contest which has a first prize of $100,000. The venue and country to be announced by MISS WORLD.

To Enter
You can enter as many area contests as you wish along with the Miss England national photo contest until you qualify. Once you qualify for the grand final, you cannot enter any more heats. Please enter on this website initially by clicking the ENTER NOW section on the menu above and you will be automatically entered in to the national photo contest, details of which will be given to you upon entry. Then scroll though the list here on the right and click on the area you are interested in, which will then display the area organisers details for you to make contact.
Miss England will send your information to the area organiser once you complete the on-line entry form. Remember if an organiser is not listed on the Miss England website , they are not official area license holders. Please contact ourselves if you have been approached to enter a contest organised by someone not detailed on this list.
The Miss England area heats are being staged by various organisations who are licensed for the said areas. All Heats are being held between Sep 2007 until June 2008.
Winners will qualify for either the semi or grand final of Miss England.
In areas a live heat is not held, a photographic entrant may be selected to represent the area.
To enter any of the heats listed below;

- You will be contacted by the Miss England office and the local organiser in due course

The final results were so tight that a decision was made by the Miss England Organisers to put TWO girls forward in the competition.

Having taken part in the 57th Miss World pageant in China last year Georgia is continuing to enjoy a hectic year of engagements nationally and internationally. She plans to pursue her modelling career in London later this year.
2007 has been an exceptional year in the beauty stakes for Yorkshire with Miss York 2007, 19 year old Naomi Smith, placed runner-up to Georgia and picking up the Best Hair Award during the glittering three day finals in Leicester in June.
If you are aged 17-24, live or study within the York area (your address must be a York post code) and fulfil the criteria of the Miss England rules, it could be you enjoying an exciting year of attending functions, modelling and taking part in the renowned Miss England 2008 competition.
HOW TO ENTER:
- Complete the online entry form
- Send two images (one head and shoulders and one full length) via email. Regretfully pictures sent by post can’t be returned.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
- If selected you will be invited to an informal audition on Sunday March 9 where your picture will be taken by a professional photographer. You will receive a copy of this photograph. Please note a fee does apply.
- Thirty finalists will be chosen to take part in the final taking place in April.
- The final will include an ECO fashion section, talent, and modelling an evening gown of your choice.
- Miss York wins a place in the Miss England finals taking place in London in July along with £600 and a gown created by Sarah Ashton of Thimbelina of York for her appearance in Miss England.
£100 award for best dress on the evening of the Miss York final will be aded along with details of judges and the final itself, so keep watching!
