CHECK OUT THE PHOTOCALL IN LONDON ON MAY 9TH HERE WITH OUR MISS ENGLAND WINNERS
Alize Lily Mounter the current Miss England, Miss England 1995 Lady Angie Sinclair (the wife of Sir Clive Sinclair) and Laura Coleman Miss England 2008, launched a recycled dress charity auction in the City of London
The photo call was held on Wednesday 9th May to start a twitter campaign with the financial industry to raise money for the Miss World charity ‘Beauty with a Purpose' that supports underprivileged children worldwide. Brent Knoll School for Autistic children in Lewisham will benefit from funds raised by Miss England during 2012 which will buy much needed equipment for the school.
The girls wore three of the outfits that are up for auction and had their hair styled by Inanch London in the shoot. All the outfits have been worn by Miss England's at the Miss World and Miss England finals and have been created by London designer Karen Karmody. After the photocall the girls will be meeting the city community at a reception at Harry's Bar 2 to promote the campaign and kick-start the twitter campaign.
Alize said "I am so proud to be involved in this charity auction to raise money for underprivileged children, while promoting the importance of recycling and try and influence people to do more for their environment. Something as basic as recycling our dresses I hope will help in creating a better world for our children's future. The beautiful white dress that I wore during Miss World 2011 is up for auction that was previously worn by other Miss England's."
Past Miss England winners will model the dresses, at this years ECO FASHION SHOW at the Miss England final on the 26th June, where the successful bids will be announced. The highest bid for an outfit will also receive dinner at Harry's Bar 2 restaurant located in the City of London with Alize the current Miss England & two tickets to the Miss England finals.

The Eco round has now grown to become a key component in the Miss England competition, giving the contestants the chance to use their creative design skills to put together an outfit from clothing that has been handed down from family members or made from recycled materials. The outfit are then worn during the Miss England competition.
Since 2010, Miss England has raised over £250,000 for the Variety Club children's charity.
The winner of Miss England 2012 will be crowned in Leicester on 26th June who will then fly off to Mauritius to promote the Mauritius shopping fiesta and promote children's charities abroad and represent the nation at the 63rd Miss World in China.
