Wednesday 19th September Dudley News Laura Allsop, aged 22, is now appealing for public votes in order to secure her place in the Miss England semi-final in June next year before voting ends at noon on Monday (September 24). The brunette beauty, who is an avid West Brom fan, is hoping to collect enough votes to place in the top three of the heat so that she can pursue her dream career as a model.

Monday 17th September 2012 Elmbridge Guardian To secure a place in the Miss England semifinal in June 2013, Carrie Millinger, 21, needs the support of the community. Miss Millinger works as a pharmacy counter assistant, but spends her spare time singing, dancing, DJing and playing bass guitar in a band. She is hoping to secure a place in the top three, but then her fate will be in the hands of the panel of judges who will decide who is the most photogenic and should receive a place in the Miss England semifinal. Friday 14th September 2012 Gloucester Citizen They were out and about in the city looking for entries for Miss Gloucester 2012. They picked several lovelies out of the crowd and praised girls in Gloucester as among the most beautiful in England.The scouting event took place at Gloucester Quays and among those judging the girls was Miss England director, Angie Beasley. Monday 10th September 2012 Liverpool Echo Hayley Baker, 21, is one of 20 finalists competing in the first Fresh Photographic heat qualifier for Miss England 2013. A public vote is under way and Hayley needs support before voting lines close to secure a place in the Miss England semi-final next June. If she finishes in the top three of the heat, her fate will then be in the hands of judges who will decide who is the most photogenic and should receive a place in the semi-final.

Saturday 8th September Plymouth Herald Charlotte Holmes, Miss England 2012, took part in a charity skydive at the end of August to raise money for underprivileged children across the world. Miss Holmes, from Torpoint, said the 13,000ft jump was actually quite enjoyable.She said: "I was absolutely terrified in training and in the plane on the way up, but once I jumped out of the plane with my Red Devils Paratrooper Billy, I actually enjoyed it. Tuesday29th August 2012 Plymouth Herald It was Viva! Torpoint as Miss England enjoyed a more modest night out on her return from the razzmatazz of the global beauty pageant. Her previous public appearance was in the final of the Miss World contest in front of a television audience of one billion.The former Face of Plymouth winner had a ball partying with about 300 at the relaunch of the Harbour Lights club. Friend Zoe Vigus, whose family owns the venue, said: "She was well away. We had a big banner welcoming her back. It was a chance for local people to say congratulations. Torpoint is so proud of her." The model is developing a lucrative sideline as a Duchess of Cambridge lookalike.

Charlotte, 23, won the 'Front Top Model' prize at Miss England, and has now been selected from 118 other contestants to compete in the Top Model round at Miss World on August 12. The coiffured creation was then worn by Miss England finalist Holly Lyons, 18, in the environmentally friendly dress round of this year's Miss England contest. The beautiful girl blubbed through her tiara and trophy acceptance at the Athena hotel in Leicester.Representing Devon, the 23-year-old beat off competition from 59 other gorgeous and talented girls, including another Sky Living alumni - Signed By Katie Price contestant, Amy Willerton. Pegged as a favourite to win, Charlotte, who came fourth in BINTM Series 6, said that the competition was "a fantastic way to celebrate inspirational, ambitious, young women".

Friday 29th June The Star Jaime-Lee, aged 22, from Rotherham, may not have won the crown - but she did beat 58 other contestants to secure a place in the Top 17 after winning one of the 12 judges' choice awards up for grabs on the night. She subsequently lost out on a place in the top five to girls including Miss South Yorkshire, Caroline Welch, 17, from Doncaster, who came fourth. Miss Devon, Charlotte Holmes, 24, took the crown in Leicester. Jaime-Lee said: "The competition was so tough this year - there were so many fantastic girls. I had an absolutely amazing experience." Thursday 28th June 2012 Peterborough Telegraph Contest finalist Olivia (20), saw Miss Devon, Charlotte Holmes, take the crown at a ceremony in Leicester on Tuesday night (26 June). Pretty Olivia was going to get surgery to enlarge her B-cup breasts but ditched those plans after being selected for the beauty pageant. She was nominated after winning the Miss Everymodel contest. Olivia was told of her qualification on March 5 - just two days before she was due to go under the knife.

Thursday 29th March 2012 The Star TEENAGER Caroline Welch has struck a blow for Doncaster - by becoming the borough's first Miss South Yorkshire.The 17-year-old former Campsmount School pupil, from Moss, was crowned at a competition at The Consort Hotel, Thurcroft, Rotherham, four years after the county contest was set up at Doncaster Racecourse. Three previous winners had all been from Rotherham. For Caroline, it is success at her debut attempt, as it is the first time she has entered a beauty contest. Wednesday 28th March 2012 Herfordshire Mercury A Little Hallingbury lovely is one step closer to being crowned Miss England after winning the top title in this year's Miss Hertfordshire competition. Kirsty Heslewood won the nationwide contest's regional heats after organising a £3,000 fund-raiser for her chosen charity. Almost £700 of the money raised came from her sponsors. The event, a costumed run called Trainers and Tiaras, saw the 22-year-old and her supporters run 10 laps of the Wodson Park sports ground in Ware. Sunday 25th March 2012 Essex Guardian A 20-YEAR-OLD advertising recruiter from Chingford has been crowned Miss Essex 2012.Amber Zakrzewski, who also models part-time, scored top marks from judges including Teddy Sheringham and TOWIE star Chloe Sims. After winning last night's event at the Top Golf Leisure Centre in Chigwell, Amber will advance to the Miss England Finals where she will compete for a place in Miss World. More than 80 contestants took part in the contest, but it was Amber who caught the judges' eye, scoring top marks in every round of the competition. Monday 26th March Leicester Mercury Lena Walker, 17, from Aylestone, was one of 22 young women competing for the coveted title at the competition The Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth college student will now represent Leicester in Miss England in June. Lena said: "I am very honoured to be chosen as Miss Leicester. It would be amazing if I won Miss England." Dempsie Trevor-Wilson, 19, was chosen as runner-up and will now take part in a semi-final of Miss England being held in May.

Wednesday 21st March Liverpool Echo DISPOSABLE fashion might dominate the high street, but for contestants of Miss Liverpool the emphasis is on recycled style. As finalists walk in front of judges on Friday, they will be wearing unique eco dresses created for them by students at Liverpool Community College. Each one has been hand-made using an imaginative array of reworked objects, secondhand and vintage pieces - everything from black bin bags to old vinyl records and bubble wrap. The student designers and beauty queens have been working in pairs since the beginning of the January term after Miss Liverpool organiser Pat Hughes set them a green challenge. |

Sunita Pall, a third-year pharmacy undergraduate at De Montfort University, has been crowned as Miss DerbyThe 23-year-old, who lives in Leicester but is from Derby, is now entered into the final of Miss England. Sunita said: "I want to show that these beauty pageants are not outdated by illustrating that you can have beauty and brains. Tuesday 20th March Birmingham Mail YOUTH worker Kris'ina Jagpal has been crowned as the new Miss Birmingham.She will represent the city in the final of the prestigious Miss England competition in the summer with a chance to make it into the Miss World contest. Kris'ina, of Edgbaston, was awarded the title at a glittering final in front of a large crowd at the city's Burlington Hotel. The 24-year-old triumphed over 30 other girls in the competition, which included fashion, club and evening wear rounds. Wednesday 14th March 2012 This is Cornwall Hannah Kay, pictured, a finalist from Newquay, held a charity raffle at Pentewan Wedding Fair to raise money for the Miss Cornwall charity Beauty With A Purpose, while modelling a local wedding dress Raffle entrants got the chance to win either a trip in a chauffeur-driven Ferrari or Armstrong Sidley, beauty treatments, or a photo shoot. "It went really well - I sold quite a few raffle tickets," said the 16-year-old college student. Monday 12th March 2012 Northampton Chronicle & Echo Nadina Knight triumphed over other local girls in the final of the 2012 Miss Northampton contest held at the Park Inn yesterday.Twelve finalists from across Northampton promoted sustainable fashion by competing in two eco-themed rounds. They created an outfit either made from recyclable materials, borrowed from friends and relatives or bought from a charity shop. All the girls have been fund raising for the Miss England chosen charity, ‘Beauty with a Purpose', since February. Charlotte Holmes, 23, of Clapham, will consume 1,000 calories of peanut butter, or a nut-based supplement, each day from today until 7th March, to demonstrate her support for the Thai Children's Trust charity. The model consulted a nutritionist to find a healthy way of surviving on a diet similar to that of a starving child, to experience one hardship that the charity, selected by Miss London 2012, works to combat.
