Background: I have just completed a 2 year college course in fashion design, finishing with 3 distinctions. This competition I hope will be one of many and I am really thankful for been put forward by my college tutor Kay Conway. I start university in September and I am very excited. In the future I would love to work for a top end designer. I am very technical minded and would love be a pattern cutter. I love that feeling when a drawing becomes something 3D and everything has been worked out perfect to create a fantastic garment. I love experimenting with fabrics and yet to find one I love more than others. University is going to be an opportunity for me to perfect what I already know and experiment with everything else I want to know. It will also make me a much better and more confident designer.

Background: I have been accepted into UCS Rochester University where I will study BA (Hons) Fashion Atelier for three years learning pattern cutting and toil making to a high couture standard. After the course I hope to work in a fashion house fitting toils I then hope to start my own label allowing me to pursue my interest in design. I take all opportunities to increase my knowledge of the industry and to improve my skills including creating a collection for a fashion show I helped organize called `The Edge` which was a huge success.

Background: I have spent the last 4 years studying clothing design & construction. Before I start University I would like to take a year out to do a bit of styling. My collection is inspired by Art Noveau and Grecian clothing as can be seen in the fabrics and shape. I find Alexanda McQueen and Gareth Pugh inspiring due to their outrageous designs and collections.

Background: Throughout my 2 years studying fashion and clothing, I have had the opportunity to work for a project management company based in Manchester, as my qualifications have come to a end, I have been offered a sponsored degree from this company in which i will study Project Management at Leeds Metropolitian University, with the intention of working for the company when my degree is complete. As Regards Fashion, This has always been a great passion of mine, therefore I am to continue designing and producing collections as a recent award I achieved will give me the opportunity to stock my garments in boutiques, as well as having a website created as advertisement. The garments featured within this event are based on Persian Burlesque influences, looking at architectural features as well as the colours and shapes in which reflect this.

Background: I wish to go on to university to study Fashion Design this year, also taking part in fashion shows working backstage to earn experience.
