Miss England 2010 - The National final

The grand final of Miss England is taking place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on the 31st August & 1st September. To celebrate 60 years of Miss World, 60 finalists from around the country are taking part in the two day event.
MISS ENGLAND 2010 ON THE ACTIVE CHANNEL (SKY CHANNEL 281)
For the first time in 23 years, the competition is being televised in the UK and shown on the "The Active Channel Sky Channel 281" and the contestants will be modelling sportswear in stead of swimwear as part of the competition.
The event is being held as a fast moving fashion show style Red Carpet event, and winners will be modelling Wizard Jeans, designer eveningwear and cocktail dresses from Hannah S & Tiffany Prom. To prove the girls are not just pretty faces, part of the competition involves fundraising for the Variety Club of Great Britain in the two months leading up to the national final.
The top fund raiser will be crowned Miss Variety Club and fast tracked through to the final 20 and appear at Variety Club events throughout the year. Great Lengths will be choosing a Great Lengths Stunning Style award winner and styling the contestants hair with a 30 strong hair team from Minariks and Tony & Guy an a team of 20 make up artists from Helen E the midlands cosmetic company who will offer the winner the chance to star on Helen E branding. The Ultimate winner of Miss England will win a place in the 60th Miss World final in Vietnam in November with the chance to win $100,000.
... And its not just the ladies who are competing - Twelve men will also compete for the Mr England title!
