Achievements

I would say that my first achievement in life was being a second mother to my younger brother. I was 9 years old when my brother was born. My mother was and is an excellent mother and when she returned to work after three months of giving birth, I took the responsibility of looking after my brother. I felt like I had grown up into an adult and I felt very responsible. The qualities I learnt from this allowed me to grow into a confident individual young girl and prepared me for the rigorous avenues that Grammar school had waiting. I achieved 11 GCSEs all at A* and A grades. My favourite subject at school was Home Economics where I won the GCSE Home Economics Award at the annual Speech Day. I did 5 AS levels, in Biology, Chemistry, French, German and Home Economics. I carried on studying Biology, Chemistry and Home Economics at A-Level standard as I applied for a university degree courses in Nutrition. In 2006 I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a 2.1 in a BSc Honours Degree in Human Nutrition. I am currently studying my masters in Naturopathic Nutrition in Manchester. The first time I ever played tennis was in mini-tennis where I won the tournament. The passion I had led me to carry on playing tennis. I entered many competitions and tournaments individually and with my school. Unfortunately I injured my back so I had to stop playing all sports. Instead of competing I wanted to help others share the joys of tennis, so I applied for a coaching award. I achieved the tennis coaching award in September 2007, which has allowed me to help coach tennis to youngsters. I find tennis coaching so rewarding as seeing happy children learning new techniques and having fun reminds me of when I started learning tennis.

Talents

I am a talented nutritionist as well as being talented in salsa and bhangra dancing.

Ambitions

I aim to have my own Holistic Clinic offering Aromatherapy massages, Indian Head Massages, and of course Naturopathic Nutrition. I aspire to achieve very highly in all i do. I am prepared for anything that comes my way as my sheer determination and hard work always see me through to the very end.
