Achievements

After gaining 10 GCSE’s I then continued my education at college where I pursued courses covering Fashion & Clothing, Handbag design, Business in French and Pattern Cutting. All of which are very relevant and useful elements to have at my disposal when working within the fashion industry. I have been involved in many charity events in various ways. The most recent would be completing a 13,000ft Tandem Skydive out of a plane in which I raised money for The Variety Club. Other Charity events I have participated in include a Fashion Show in aid of Breast Cancer and hosting Jewellery Parties and donating the profits to Charities. In September 2009 I came second in The Miss Fresh Photographic Heat 1. I had raised the most for charity and topped the public vote. One of my biggest achievements to-date would have to be winning the title of Miss Black Country 2010. I am very excited about taking on this role for the next year and of course being part of The Miss England Final.

Talents

During the last few years I have expanded my love of dancing by participating in a variety of dance groups ranging from Cheerleading and Freestyle to Ballroom and Latin American. The latter two, I am particularly proud of because my training helped me reach a professional standard. Outside of dancing I see my knowledge of fashion as a huge asset. I have followed this vast industry ever since I could dress myself. Because it is constantly evolving, I am always seeking new techniques and approaches to express my creativity in both design and styling. Fashion is a brilliant interest as it leaves no room for complacency, you always need to be on the ball and you are always learning.

Ambitions

I am very ambitious and there are many things I’d like to achieve in my lifetime. In the not too distant future I would like to graduate from university and embark on a career in the fashion industry and in doing so fulfill a long-term goal of mine. Ultimately I strive to be happy and content. I have a wonderful family and I hope to extend that in time with a family and children of my own. I’d like to see the world and not just to visit, but to involve myself in rewarding things such as volunteering in the Elephant sanctuaries of Thailand and caring for Panda’s in China. I have a soft spot for animals and for me to do this, in particular with animals I’d be privileged. To see in their habitat would be amazing and unforgettable. And to finish this category, my main focus at the moment is of course being Miss Black Country 2010 and therefore a finalist for Miss England. I am extremely honored to be accepted into such a prestigious competition and I just hope that I can progress further and possibly get to represent my country. That really would be something I’d be proud of and remember for the rest of my life.
