Achievements

One of my biggest achievements has to be winning the title of Miss Asian Beauty Queen 2010. It was a tough competition and I am honoured to have come through to the finals of Miss England, giving me the chance to represent our country in Vietnam later this year. As an academically able student, I have achieved 9 A*s and 2 A grades at GCSE and then gone on to attain 4 As at AS level in maths, chemistry, biology and psychology. As a result, I have been offered a place to study medicine at a prestigious university so hopefully my dream of becoming a doctor is soon to be reality. Alongside my studies, I have been involved in many business and commerce challenges such as Young Enterprise in which my team were 2nd runners up and Lionheart Challenge in which my team and I won the England region finals. Outside of school, I have achieved great pleasure and fulfilment in working with Cancer Research UK as a long-term volunteer as well as volunteering as a healthcare assistant in a local hospital.

Talents

My talents would include modelling and dancing. I often get involved in fashion shows and performances at school and in the community and I look forward to participating in more social and cultural activities once I join university. Another talent would be fundraising as I have good business acumen and a creative approach to my ventures, which leads me to excel in this field. Moreover, I have personal qualities such as self-belief, determination and a positive outlook on life, which drives me to succeed in everything I pursue.

Ambitions

Currently, my main ambition is to win Miss England. It would be a great honour and achievement and I feel I could truly do justice to the title. I am excited to think about the opportunities in the modelling and fashion industry that this title could bring and more importantly, the hope that I could be representing England in the Miss World competition. As Miss Asian Beauty Queen, my ambitions are to raise awareness about the issues facing people of today such as gang violence, drug abuse and domestic violence, particularly in the Asian society. I hope to be a good role model to women of all ages and backgrounds and I want to be able to inspire others to think that they can do anything that they put their mind and heart to. There really is no limit to success other than yourself so be positive and ambitious. Another future aim I have is to use my enterprising qualities to develop a clinical services organisation in a less economically developed country in order to provide essential healthcare services for free. This would be ideal as it will allow me to express my combined passion for science, people and equality.
