Achievements

My most recent achievement is winning Miss Scarborough 2010. I was overwhelmed and feel a great sense of achievement when I was announced as the winner. I plan to use the title to raise as much money for chosen charities such as cycstic fibrosis and cancer research UK. Since winning I have already contributed towards raising money for the British Heart Foundation by opening a local store and encouraging local people to donate to the charity. I have achieved academically from a young age, gaining 13 GCSE's between grades A* - B. I also have A levels in Biology, Maths and Theatre Studies. I gained a place at the University of Hull Scarborough campus two years ago and i'm currently aiming for a first degree honours in International Business. One of my most memorable and enjoyable achievements was representing Great Britain in the under 19 softball team. The training sessions were intense and hard work however I have a passion for sport so I enjoyed playing on the field and representing my country. I also represented my school in sixth form as the captain of the hockey team as well as playing netball, rounders, cricket and competitive athletics.

Talents

I enjoy playing musical instruments and I achieved grade 8 on the flute. I also play the piano and have grade 5 and I still play them in my spare time after having come to university. I have taken part in various plays and musicals, often playing lead roles as I am a keen singer and enjoy performing. It has helped me to develop good self confidence and I am a confident public speaker. I am a talented sportswoman and I have represented my University in both netball and hockey teams and I like to keep fit by going to the gym. Personal talents of mine include a good positive attitude; I feel this an important talent to hold as having a positive outlook on life helps you to achieve your ambitions.

Ambitions

My main ambition is to win Miss England 2010. I would love the opportunities it would bring and I would make the most of the title by meeting as many people as possible and getting involved where I can. I would love to represent the best country in the world and I would constantly raise money for various different charities. If I won Miss England 2010 I would prove to not only the nation but to the rest of the world that our country holds not only beautiful girls but that we are intelligent and ambitious as well. I would also love the opportunity to compete in Miss World 2010.In terms of a career I am aiming to work for an International company which will hopefully enable me to travel and give me the ability to experience different corners of the world. I aim to leave University with a first degree honours.
