She will represent England in the 60th Miss World to be held in Sanya, China!

The Mr and Miss England contest was held as a two day event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole
on Tues 31st August and Weds 1st September.

The Public Vote will started on Friday 30th July at 12.00noon and finished on Wednesday 1st September at 6.00pm
which fast tracked ONE finalist in to the top 20 as the public vote winner.

The winner of the public vote was Miss Cumbria Kirstie Day who was fast tracked into the final 20!

Achievements

I love turning my hand to something new and have been so lucky over the last few years to have been involved in exciting new experiences. In 2007 I participated in work experience at a top PR company ‘Purple’ in London, and I was thrilled after my two weeks to be invited back to help out the team during London Fashion Week. My ethos is to work hard and the rewards will follow so I was overjoyed on receiving my GCSE results, I achieved 1 A* and 13 A’s. Another exciting opportunity arose recently, when I was given the chance to undertake work experience at the radio station KISS100 in London, I was involved in various activities at the studio, including recording voiceovers, interviewing people on Oxford Street and creating advertisements to be aired on the radio. My most proud achievement to date has been winning the title of Miss Buckinghamshire; words cannot express the feelings and thoughts running through my head when my name was announced. I am delighted to have the opportunity to represent my County of Buckinghamshire in the prestigious Miss England finals.
Talents

I believe my greatest talent is my ability to listen to others, I have been told that I have a quiet confidence that helps people to engage with me and feel comfortable ultimately leaving a lasting impression of my understanding nature. My organizational skills are another one of my leading traits, giving me the ability to organise events within the local community helping to support initiatives that I feel most passionate about.
Ambitions

I have accepted a place at City University London to undertake a degree in Journalism. It is my dream to become a television broadcaster reporting the news. I am very interested in people and their individual stories. To fulfil my ambition to be an ambassador for my Country in Miss World would be a huge honour, I know this experience would enrich my life and if in the process I could make others smile and bring some cheer I would be tremendously happy.
