Achievements

I feel so honoured to be representing Shropshire in the Miss England Final! I finished school with 11 G.C.S.E\'s (1 A*. 8 A\'s, 2 B\'s), I then went onto gain 3 A Levels and I have recently graduated from Loughborough University with an honours degree in Geography. During University I took on several extra curricular activities including completing my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and captaining several sports teams, but one of my main achievements was being elected Sports Secretary after a 2 week campaign across campus.

Talents

For the past three years I have been a member of Unity Allstars Competitive Cheerleading Squad and we are the UK National Champions. Two weeks before the Miss Shropshire final I was in the USA for 2 weeks with my squad competing at the prestigious World Cheerleading Championships. Don\'t get me wrong this is not pom poms and chanting! Competitive cheerleading involves high level gymnastics and stunting. I am a \'Flyer\' so I am the one that gets thrown into the air and somersaults!! I have used my experience to become a fully qualified Level 3 Gymnastics coach and I have taught young children gymnastics since I was 14. Aswell as my gymnastics and cheerleading background I love to perform on stage and I have been dancing, singing and taking lead roles in musicals since I was 8 including lead roles in Fame, The Wiz and Grease. This has developed love for performance and public speaking.

Ambitions

I am very career minded so in a few years time I’d like to see myself online for a senior position within a big successful company. Having very recently graduated with a degree in Geography I am saving up to do a Masters degree in Meteorology. Weather fascinates me and my university dissertation was based on different weather patterns and the Milancovitch Model. A dream of mine is to land a career in ‘Broadcast Meteorology’ but I am also interested in using my meteorological knowledge in aircraft navigation within the armed forces, or local meteorology offices if I’m not lucky enough to become the next Michael Fish!! My time at University taught me many things but the most important thing it taught me was not to get caught up worrying about what the future will hold just to be thankful for all the wonderful things and friends I already have and enjoy the present. I would love to balance a modelling career also, having done several photo shoots and been the face of a housing company this year it has attracted me to the industry. I would love to be crowned Miss England to be a positive role model for younger children through public speaking and career fairs, and to raise money for those less fortunate than myself.
