Achievements

I consider graduating from Nottingham University with a Law with German degree my biggest achievement to date. Following my degree, I am also now able to speak fluent German, which is a huge accomplishment, as I always wanted to be bilingual from a young age. I achieved all A’s and A*’s in my GCSE’s and also have four A-Levels (2A’s and 2B’s in Latin, German, English Literature and Psychology.) I consider getting incredibly close to winning the competitions I have entered as brilliant accomplishments-but just makes me more determined to persevere and win this time!

Talents

I have always been involved with youth theatre: performing and directing. I was a child model and my interest in modelling has continued and I have gone on to be a finalist in the regional contest Miss Manchester 2007, and came second in Face of Manchester 2004, out of 25,000 girls. I have also taken part in catwalk shows in large shopping centres within the Manchester area and was a student model in the charity Fashion Show held at University. I was also the main part in a play at the Edinburgh Fringe Festivals in 2002 and have had small parts in television programmes. I also got down to the last three for the part of “Shannon Docherty” in “Footballer’s Wives”, yet was deemed too young for the part. Furthermore, I won the “Certificate of Promise” (Peter Barkworte Arward) rewarded to the most promising under 21 actor out of 25,000 people in Greater Manchester for my part of “Wishee Washee” in the pantomime “Aladdin” when I was just 12. My passion for acting and dramatic work is never ending and my absolute dream is to join The Royal Shakespeare Company. I also enjoy singing and music and I can play the clarinet to a Grade VIII standard. I was a member of the school choir and orchestra and see music as a particularly enjoyable way to express myself, apart from the confines of the curriculum. I also enjoy dancing and attend dancing lessons. I thoroughly enjoy public speaking and I realised this passion when I won awards for representing different countries at various Model United Nations conferences all around the UK. My love for public speaking has materialised into presenting and I now also work as a presenter for various marketing companies. I am filmed presenting and explaining a company or specific product, which is then uploaded to the company’s website in order to attract more customers.

Ambitions

Apart from to win Miss England and represent the best country in the world, I would love to become an ambassador for Cancer Research as my father unfortunately died of cancer when I was just 13, so the charity has a very special place in my heart.
