Achievements

I have recently graduated from Coventry University qualifying with a BA Honours in Theatre and Professional Practice. Since graduating I have had roles for the BBC in Doctors and their period drama Land Girls. My most recent achievement is winning Miss Natural Curves, which I am extremely proud to represent. Growing up I was always aware that I was bigger than my friends and always felt self conscious about that fact, I hope to prove that being beautiful isn’t about size and that the most important thing is to be confident within yourself and to let your personality shine through.

Talents

I have always danced since a young girl, taking part in shows and competitions. I love the fact that dancing is a way of expressing yourself as well as having fun and keeping a healthy active life style. I try to do as much for charity as possible and enjoy arranging different events, my most recent was a dance medley show, we put on different dance acts from ballet to street and all the money went to charity. I am also currently arranging a sponsored sky dive which I hope to have completed in the next couple of months. One of my main passions is scuba diving, I would recommend it to everyone as it’s an amazing experience and makes you realise that there’s a whole other world under the water and that it’s important for us to respect our oceans and natural environment more than we currently do. I also take part in clean up schemes, these are organised diving trips where we litter pick under the water to try and help keep are oceans healthy and clean.

Ambitions

I would love to pursue a career within acting, and over the next five years I hope to establish myself as a successful working actress. I feel extremely lucky to have won Miss Natural Curves and to have got through to the finals of Miss England. If I was lucky enough to win I would love to represent Miss England as a curvy girl and to make a difference to people’s perception on size. I personally think that we are so bombarded with images of thin girls, all you have to do is open up a magazine and the pages are full of models and celebrities who are a certain size, followed by their diets and how to look like them. I would love to have the opportunity to represent my country as a natural, healthy women who has a healthy appetite, exercises and am comfortable within my body and to encourage others to realise that it’s not about what size you are, but to be confident within yourself and to let your personality shine through. Also to represent our country at the 60th Miss World finals would be a dream a come true
