Achievements

It still amazes me how fortunate I have been over this past year. It truly has opened up the doors to some memorable experiences. University has thrown up so many new situations I've had to face as an adult. It has proven to me that I do have the strength and capabilities to handle almost anything. To hear on returning home for my Easter break how proud my parents are of me was probably my favourite achievement all year. I also never imagined the success I would have in relation to my modelling, which i know Miss England has had a huge influence over. After joining a couple of agencies, the jobs I have been given have supported me throughout university. In March 2008 I found out that I had a place on the Bennett's Babes squad, which puts you on the front line of the British Super Bikes as Grid models. It's so lovely working with a group of girls that are all so different yet we all have one common link. Of recent I had an amazing opportunity arise, which was a job offer to fly out to India and cheer lead for the Indian Cricket Premier league.

Talents

I began dancing at an early age and it's always been something that has been part of my life. Through dance I was able to pick up cheerleading without too much difficulty and managed to gain a place in the Nottingham Trent Tiger Squad in my first year. We are currently British National Champions and have an amazing crowd of supporters that provide the atmosphere for our Varsity performances. My degree in Broadcast Journalism is teaching me new skills everyday and combined with my modelling and promotional work, I've become confident talking to people and giving interviews.

Ambitions

My degree alongside modelling has given me so much more confidence that my goal to become a TV presenter is becoming more and more achievable. I still would love to make the trip to India and experience the culture whilst cheerleading. I'm ever so grateful for the local media's interest, this has meant that I'm now in a better position for the summer to start work on my own personal interest in promoting a healthy body image for young girls in the prevention of eating disorders. I would hope to be a positive role model for the younger generation.
