| Achievements |
I completed my high school education achieving 12 GCSE's and four A-levels. I then went on to University where I studied a three year degree in Childhood and Youth Studies & Psychology. I gained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree, achieving a 2:1 overall. As part of my degree I spent two weeks in a small undeveloped village in rural Romania, working alongside disadvantaged children and babies. The conditions were very poor; with no running water, no electricity and only basic resources at hand. We took over our resources and collaborated with the children, offering help with teaching, playing games and with general daily activities. It was a life changing experience and I learnt so much about myself as well as other communities. I was awarded with a citizenship certificate afterwards.
I was the winner of Miss Black Britain 2009 which lead onto various wonderful experiences, e.g. International modelling-working with celebrities/well-known brands, and charity fundraising - I am an ambassador for a charity called the One Goal Foundation, we raised over £40,000 for women and children in South Africa after holding a huge event that was broadcasted on BBCTHREE. Most recently I achieved a place in the prestigious Miss England 2012 National Finals after winning Miss Fresh Photographic Heat 9. |
| Talents |
I am a friendly, bubbly person and I get along with everybody. My job as an Estate Agent and Voluntary Youth Worker allow me to practice excellent social skills by interacting with different people every day.
Since winning winning Miss Black Britain I found that a lot of doors opened for me, and I was lucky enough to make some great contacts. I found a real passion for Modelling/TV/Media work and have been very lucky to have worked alongside some well-known celebs and brand names - I was the face of RARE clothing 2010, I am the face of Claudia Pink Jewellery (found on ASOS), I walked for London Fashion Week, Liverpool Fashion Week and Arise Fashion week (in Lagos Nigeria), I played the love interest in Tinie Tempah's music video, I modelled in a charity fundraising fashion show hosted by model Caprice, I appeared in last years series of Britain's Next Top Model and made it to the final 30, most recently I became the face of Celebrity Spray Tanning company BEAUBRONZ who work alongside X-Factor and Dancing on ice. |
| Ambitions |
I am a strong minded individual who gives 110% in everything I do. My aim is to be successful both academically and in the media as I have a real passion for both industries. I recently relocated from Liverpool to London as I feel it is the next step for me to persue my career, I am always looking to better myself and I figured that London has a lot more opportunities. My overall aspiration is to be a positive role model to young women across the world, and use my popularity to encourage charity fund raising and positivity. |
| Why do you want to enter |
My favourite quote is 'Be the change you want to see in the world'; and this applies to my reason for entering Miss England. If we all chip in and do something, whether it be recycling, voting or simply smiling at people as we pass by, however big or small, we can make our own little difference and the world will be a better place. I would love to be crowned Miss England as I would use the title to create positivity and encouragement for young women nationally. I will promote generosity, enthusiasm and I will represent my country to the best of my ability. |
