Miss England 2012: Semi Final Judges

The semi final of Miss England 2012 is being held at Champneys Springs, Leicestershire on Wednesday 30th May and it is expected to be bigger than ever. The Miss England Office can now begin revealing who the judges are!

CJ de Mooi - From 'Eggheads'

Although best known from the long running BBC quiz show Eggheads, CJ is an established actor with extensive credits on television, stage and film. He began his career with 5 years modelling in Germany returning to the UK and becoming a serial contestant on numerous game shows. From these notable appearances, he was chosen as one of the Eggheads, a programme now in its 9th year and still going strong. He has recently moved more into his true passion of musical theatre and is following his dream of appearing in the West End. CJ will be competing in several half marathons this year at the Great North Run, in Cardiff and Brighton, leading up to the London Marathon next year. All these runs will support some of the charities CJ works for with him being particularly dedicated to gay equality and human rights.

Indi Johal - Owner of City Shoes

Indi Johal has worked in the shoe industry since completing his education in 1982.

Leaving college after completing his A levels Indi set up his own company designing shoes, which continues to trade as City Shoes. Currently supplying its products to all high street multiple and independent outlets. The head office and show room is based in Leicester. The footwear is produced at several specially selected and approved factories in China. A regional office is based in Dongguan in China.

Indi is also the owner and developer of the Ramada Encore hotel building, which is a 115 bedroom property based in Leicester's vibrant City Centre.

Indi is a family man, married with 2 grown up children. To get away from his sometimes hectic life, he enjoys swimming and socialising with friends and family.

Jenna held 3 titles in the Miss England competition which includes Plymouth 2010 and Plymouth 2011 as well as being the face of Champneys. Jenna will be handing over her title to her successor on the same day.

 

Jenna has featured in Vogue, modelled at London Fashion Week and appeared on ITV and BBC.

Jenna; an award winning international volunteer, is currently a multilingual BA (Hons) business woman working for the world's leading pharmaceutical company GSK.










Andrew Minarik - Head of Hair & Make up for Miss England

Andrew Minarik has been involved with the Miss England and Miss UK pageant for over 17 years initially being involved as a hairdresser for the Miss Leicestershire contest in 1995.

Since then, Andrew became head of hairdressing for Miss England and Miss UK, and has lead the Great Lengths hair team at the Miss England final this year. Andrew and his expert team now lead the hair team for Miss World.

Terri Cody-Owen started life in Yorkshire, winning the Miss Harrogate title in the early 1980s before moving to London to pursue a career as a photographic model and actress. She played in TV and films including Minder, The Bill, Terry & June and Rising Damp. She went on to present beauty products on QVC before returning to university to train as a broadcast and print journalist.

After working as a reporter for Yorkshire Evening Post and Stray FM radio, She went on to become editor of easyJet inflight magaasizne for several years before meeting up and marrying business partner Martin Cody-Owen. Together they created World Titles Publishing company, which now produces a number of popular magazine titles including Spa World and Worldwide Weddings & Honeymoons, both edited by Terri.

Martin Cody-Owen is a serial entrpreneur, property investor and publisher.

Originally from Liverpool, he studied for a Law degree at Lady Spencer Churchill College, Oxford but instead of a legal career he founded a successful advertising and marketing agency specializing in the commercial property industry where he helped leading organisations achieve planning permission on schemes worth more than £1 billion.

He also built up his own personal property portfolio and stilll has extensive property interests in Yorkshire. Martin met his wife Terri at a charity event he organized in Leeds, in his capacity as Press officer for the Variety Club of Great Britain. Together Martin and Terri pooled their expertise and created World Titles, a publishing company producing magazine titles including Spa World the Uk's leading magazine devoted to luxury travel, spas and wellness. They also produce Worldwide Weddings & Honeymoons magazine for couples looking for a destination wedding or dream honeymoon.

Terri and Martin Cody-Owen will act as one judge.

Roland Johnson - Current Mr England

Current Mr England Roland Johnson won the Mr England title in July 2011 alongside Miss England Alize Lily Mounter and is currently studying Music Technology at University. Roland has made many charitable and hosting appearances and have competed in Manhunt International in Seoul where he was placed in the top 15! Roland also plays in his band 'The Approval'

Charlie Kaufman FSWPP Hon. is the Director of the Fresh Academy, the UK's largest fashion studios and the official photographic sponsors to the Miss England Competition. Charlie a noted fashion photographer of some 20 years is the lead photographer at the Fresh Academy and has had his work published in dozens of publications. Recently, Charlie was awarded with an Honorary Fellowship for his contribution to the photographic industry in the UK by the largest photography association in the country.
